I don't give a crap what he (and YES MNHQ he says he doesn't mind being called "he) want's to be called.
But apparently he "came out as trans" many years ago?

'I’m still gender fluid and I tell everyone that’s supported me, "Relax people, he or she, it doesn’t really matter." The pronoun thing isn’t the important thing, the important thing was coming out [as trans] back in 1985, that was the tough time".

Sorry, but wasn't Izzard actually known for being comfortable in "female" clothing as a male? Wasn't that his big thing......"they're not women's clothes, they're MY clothes" etc?

Are we rewriting history now?

And STILL wittering on about being "in girl mode".

FUCK off with that shite. You're a 61 year old male.
You're not a girl by any stretch of the imagination.

zzzzzzzzzz....

Reallybadidea · 07/03/2023 11:41

Fine, he can be called Suzie. No skin off my nose. He's still a man.

gogohmm · 07/03/2023 11:41

He used to say he was a lesbian trapped in a male body. Saw him live in the 90's. So by definition trans. But he was also comfortable playing male lead roles

TinselAngel · 07/03/2023 11:44

Trans Widows are very familiar with gradual escalation like this.

ResisterRex · 07/03/2023 11:47

He's rewriting history. He did not "come out as trans" back then. Didn't happen.

BonjourCrisette · 07/03/2023 11:47

Fuck off Eddie.

He was very clear about the fact that he was a man at the time. I went to see his shows several times. Rewriting history as far as I can see.

Musomama1 · 07/03/2023 12:07

Well, he did come out, but as a transvestite that very much knew he was male.

'Coming out as trans' now means something altogether different given the widening of the umbrella and he should know that, he's certainly taking advantage of that now when he accesses the women's toilets and calls himself a she whilst being fully intact.

AlisonDonut · 07/03/2023 12:07

I've just read that Susie is the name of an ex girlfriend who died.

Say it ain't so Eddie. Surely that can't be true. Nobody would do that, would they?

WhereYouLeftIt · 07/03/2023 12:09

He didn't come out as "trans", he came out as transvestite. I'd say he's using the vagueness of the term 'trans' to yes, rewrite his history.

Stonewall?? has declared that trans is an umbrella term embracing everyone from transexuals to part-time transvestites to drag queens/king to - well, anyone who says they are. A glorious mishmash where someone who does nothing but tell everyone their pronouns are now they/them acquires the same 'status' as someone so crippled with dysphoria they take drastic surgical action to treat it.

Yes, I'd say he's escalating. Just as cross-dressing ceased to give him enough of a dopamine hit as time passed, I'd guess girl-mode/boy-mode is wearing off too.

zanahoria · 07/03/2023 12:10

Wake up, (not so) little Suzie

zanahoria · 07/03/2023 12:12

He should have gone for Denise

He is modelling himself on Denise Welsh

Beamur · 07/03/2023 12:12

He's been living in a way that is now widely accepted as trans since 1985. So, I guess that's his timeline.
Suzie Izzard is quite hard to say..

I saw something recently visually comparing middle-aged transitioners to their transwidows. Wigs matching their widow's hairstyle etc. It was quite striking. So 'nobody would do that' - yes, yes they would. Sad

BloodyHellKen · 07/03/2023 12:22

I have nothing to add other than what an absolute load of horse shit gender bollocks🙄😂

Happylittlechicken · 07/03/2023 12:25

So one would presume he won’t be taking
any male roles… what with not being a man. Bet he still does though. Hypocrite that he is

That's harsh on Denise Welsh

My trans woman friend is like this she (originally he) is married to a lesbian after being divorced by his female wife.
Confusion all round

ChaToilLeam · 07/03/2023 12:33

I think he should be absolutely ignored by everyone, ever.

So much agree with this!

Crikeyalmightey · 07/03/2023 12:39

Bore off, Eddie. Nobody cares.

That sort of thing is quite common.

Yarnosaura · 07/03/2023 12:43

Aah, Mr Susan...

Twiggywinkle13 · 07/03/2023 12:45

He can call himself whatever he likes. He’s still a man, and also kinda coming across as a total lunatic now.

AnyFucker · 07/03/2023 12:46

Tedious
