I don't give a crap what he (and YES MNHQ he says he doesn't mind being called "he) want's to be called.
But apparently he "came out as trans" many years ago?

'I’m still gender fluid and I tell everyone that’s supported me, "Relax people, he or she, it doesn’t really matter." The pronoun thing isn’t the important thing, the important thing was coming out [as trans] back in 1985, that was the tough time".

Sorry, but wasn't Izzard actually known for being comfortable in "female" clothing as a male? Wasn't that his big thing......"they're not women's clothes, they're MY clothes" etc?

Are we rewriting history now?

And STILL wittering on about being "in girl mode".

FUCK off with that shite. You're a 61 year old male.
You're not a girl by any stretch of the imagination.

Yes. I'm sorry, Tinsel.

We can expect it to continue to escalate.

BemusedDad · 07/03/2023 16:29

Fake woman.

Real narcissist.

WarriorN · 07/03/2023 16:32

He's been testing the waters for years.

I'm sorry too Tinsel. There's clearly a playbook.

Happylittlechicken · 07/03/2023 16:35

Can we call him uncle knobhead a la Peter Kay?

nilsmousehammer · 07/03/2023 16:44

Is it just me, or is there a big announcement at regular intervals about all this, which coincidentally seems to happen just when the last lot of attention and reaction has died down?

Not sure why people are supposed to be interested anyway. But when someone feels they need to update strangers to their latest bulletin on their identity/names/current beliefs I start to think no, unless this is paid work then it's too hard work to be buggered with.

IcakethereforeIam · 07/03/2023 16:48

I know he didn't pick his surname but Susie Izzard is a very DQ name.

GetOffMyDoorJack · 07/03/2023 16:54

Ugh, my friend has just shared a news report on SM saying "Good for her". I would have put money on her being GC. In other news, a lesbian friend has also posted about a talk on intersectionality she is going to. She's single atm and I'd live to know if she would date a TW. She was always very clear that as a lesbian she had a genital preference before this became a thing.

VaddaABeetch · 07/03/2023 17:50

If you knew Suzie,
Like I know Suzie,
Oh, Oh what a man (He/Him)

ApocalipstickNow · 07/03/2023 17:55

I wish he’s change his name to Charlie or Charlotte and go by Char. 🔥

IcakethereforeIam · 07/03/2023 18:07

Does that evolve from Charthemdar?

ApocalipstickNow · 07/03/2023 18:08

They’s the one.

peachescariad · 07/03/2023 13:42

Just wondering Is that a play on words....Suzy-is-hard???

That reminded me, years back, a couple of TWs had changed first and surnames and both had plumped for the surname 'Lees'. It was pointed out that since both their chosen first names ended in an 's', when spoken their names would sound like 'Sleaze'.

No idea if there was any truth in the speculation that this was deliberate, but it is a thought when you consider the punning nature of drag queen names, e.g. 'Courtney Act' = caught in the act, etc.

bringmethehorizontal · 07/03/2023 19:25

a boy named sue

marchella · 08/03/2023 08:06

IGNORE, IGNORE, IGNORE. Not worthy of a woman's thought. Move along.

Xoxoxoxoxoxox · 08/03/2023 14:44

The Labour Party has featured Izzard in their International Women’s Day post today even though he lost the contest to become a candidate in Sheffield.

He's been living in a way that is now widely accepted as trans since 1985. So, I guess that's his timeline.
Suzie Izzard is quite hard to say..

Not RTFT but I think a contraction would make it much easier to say: Sizzard

Eddie/Edie as Edna/Edina diminutives exist so it’s hard not to see the new name as some sort of identify escalation/new ‘authentic’ self.

Is it mean to say I cannot bloody wait for Lorraine Kelly to get in a dither mid interview?

who can forget this iconic moment when Lorraine made a pronoun mishap within the first ten seconds?

m.youtube.com/watch?v=r9YVi_qca7c

Daydreaming about Lorraine breaking free of her female socialisation and sudeny
shouting ‘YOU’RE A MAN YOU NINNY’ at Sizzard.

Possibly triggered by menopausal hot flush.

Ohyoudodoyou · 08/03/2023 15:05

"Relax people, he or she, it doesn’t really matter."

Relax until Edddie walks into the changing room at the gym when I'm naked.
The ENTITLEMENT - I swear I'm more radicalised daily by these men.

They are appearing on Matt Fordes podcast shortly. Think it was recorded yesterday so will be available to listen to soon. The podcast is called The Political Party.

Will be interested what they say about the GRA and the Labour Party.

Listened to the podcast today. May as well call them Woolly Izzard. Very bland on politics, just seemed to think if you're a good, decent person there should be a place for you in Parliament. Didn't seem to understand that most of them in govt currently would probably consider themselves kind, decent people.

Believing you're a nice guy and thinking that the work you do is for the greater good isn't actually the flex Suzy thinks it is. Wouldn't be drawn on any policies or left wing/right wing thinking (apart from being pro Sure Start Centres) - couldn't mention an admirable Labour politician.

Very woolly on issues of trans, and kept comparing the issue with skin colour in how it shouldn't be important or cause anyone concern. Very much gave off 'I don't see skin colour' feel. "We're all human" was said. How Suzy feels as Suzy (or Eddie feels as Eddie) seemed v reasonable, happily able to talk about their journey of self-discovery.

I was infuriated when they said that football was a brilliant leveller as it didn't matter whether you were short/tall or what skin colour you were - it was genetically open and it only mattered whether you were great at football. Hmm That's why there are plenty of openly LGBT players, female players, and absolutely no racism?

Suzy appears to be tenacious and will be popping up as a Labour candidate at the next suitable Northern Labour selection process to be an MP. (And it must be from up North, in spite of them being from down South - because it is more unequal for Northeners??) They appear to have serious Ministerial ambitions - and wouldn't be drawn on saying anything that could possibly go against any future policy they may or may not support. Low opinion of the voting public to think that they wouldn't be allowed to voice any opinion at all now for fear it changes once an MP with further insight.

Blort · 08/03/2023 15:07

Sorry that was so long but in my defence it was a fucking long podcast.

Somebodiesmother · 08/03/2023 15:08

Xoxoxoxoxoxox · 07/03/2023 14:09

Apparently he had a former girlfriend called Susie who unfortunately died.----

That's really weird and creepy.

I saw something recently visually comparing middle-aged transitioners to their transwidows. Wigs matching their widow's hairstyle etc. It was quite striking. So 'nobody would do that' - yes, yes they would. Sad

My ex did this. My haircut, my clothes (literally - when I finally left with just the clothes I stood up in and went into a refuge, he refused to give my clothes/makeup/jewellery back to me), his new middle name is my middle name. He even changed his backstory so it was basically mine - the places I'd visited, cities I'd lived in etc.

When we went to court so he could get access to my DD (he was refused - she wasn't his child and he'd only known her since she was 2), he turned up in my clothes, hair same as mine, my jewellery on.

WeeBisom · 08/03/2023 15:24

Jo Maugham is upset at some magazine calling Eddie "he", even though Eddie has said that he doesn't care what pronouns he is called and is gender fluid. I think by this point Eddie is changing things around to keep people on their toes.

ResisterRex · 08/03/2023 15:32

I'm not surprised at Labour.

I expect the point of these daft modes is prep for the next step. "I tried both but I really only feel my true self in girl mode so I demand ask you use that and be kind from now on".

That kind of thing.
