Wensleydale with cranberries is delicious, how dare you dismiss the fruity cheese.

Despite you being a bloke, I'm gonna have to agree with you.

Why has no one mentioned Halloumi!!! Even it's name sounds like a prayer or invocation. Grilled, cold or made into fries - it's delicious.

(I'm sorry, I don't have any cool jokes or witty wordplay- I just really like halloumi 😀) (so much that I can overlook the whole "being made with sheep's milk" thing)

Someone told me that a thin slice of Wensleydale or cheddar is good with apple pie. That might be true, but IMO it did nothing for the custard.

I had a bloody lovely cheddar with ginger at the beginning of the year. Left it in my fridge when I went away for the weekend, came home thinking it would be perfick with some of my dad's homemade chutney....my bloody friend who was cat sitting had eaten the lot!!
