Have you contacted Womens Aid? The police?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 23/01/2023 12:38

I hope you have good people around you now @thecaseofthepurplecushion

@Helleofabore yes, he won't take it out.

Reading through it in more detail (and I swear it gets worse each reading), if you are who I'm guessing - not naming for obvious reasons - then if it is any comfort at all I don't think you personally come across badly.

I completely understand that you wouldn't want all of this dragged back up and thrown out there.

It does tell the story of a very dangerous person, and your comments here only emphasise this further.

You might consider that this thread is likely to be monitored heavily today and whether you want to keep the posts disclosing your trauma. I cannot say how sorry I am for your experiences and I am not saying this to negate them in any way. Just that if you want to ask MNHQ to delete you post, you can report it and ask for it to be removed.

It's already out there thanks to the article tbh at this point it doesn't make a difference

@thecaseofthepurplecushion I'm about to go out to the dentist, but i's there anything we can do to help? Email the writer perhaps?

Bastards

Have chocolate as well🍫

Thank you, if you want to that would be nice of you but I don't know if he'll waver. I'm trying to think of any legal recourse but I'm not sure if I have any

Women's aid and this gem of a website kept me going when I left. I never contacted the police.

WarriorN · 23/01/2023 12:41

I can't imagine how scary it is; I was once outed here and was terrified of links being made to tame GC posts.

Please consider contacting women's aid and the police. Do you have a close network of trusted women around you? Can you talk to anyone?

Thank you, my current partner is looking after me.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 23/01/2023 12:42

Glad to hear that.

I have my almost-wife (if I manage to keep fighting off the flashback's we're going to view a wedding venue later) and friends are keeping me company digitally. Need to figure out if I can involve the police, I'm not sure if he's broken a law.

ArabellaScott · 23/01/2023 12:42

Glad you have support. If you feel at all unsafe, please consider calling the police. x

I understand.

I do hope you have plenty of support.

To be fair, the details of your trauma is not. Or people won't be looking for it. Particularly if you are saying that this person is responsible (unfortunately media agencies may draw that conclusion)

WarriorN · 23/01/2023 12:44

Ok, try some grounding. Get your head in wedding mode. That should be a lovely thing for you both.

Let us know if we can help.

BenCoopersSupportWren · 23/01/2023 12:45

Are there contact details for the writer? (Sorry, on my phone grabbing a quick lunch.). Maybe a concerted approach from a few of us saying we appreciate the light he’s shining on the situation but it shouldn’t be at the expense of an abuse sufferer and can he remove the references to purplecushion?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 23/01/2023 12:45

@glinner if you are around, can you get this young woman taken out of the article? She's been a victim, by her own account here.

thecaseofthepurplecushion · 23/01/2023 12:47

You women are great. Bloody love this website for helping with things like this.

I need to throw some cold water on my face and get myself together enough to view a wedding venue but if anyone does want to contact him his email is at the bottom of the article

WarriorN · 23/01/2023 12:49

I was about to pm @Glinner too.

Helleofabore · 23/01/2023 12:49

I was just looking for that purplecushion. Thanks

To be fair, we want the article to stay, but with your references removed. So you can heal and get on with your life.

WarriorN · 23/01/2023 12:49

It could be removed from glinners website until edited enough to limit exposure

PrinceYakimov · 23/01/2023 12:55

What Wings's post brilliantly illustrates is that narcissistic violence is not a bug of the movement: it's a feature. It's completely intrinsic to it. Hope it's widely read.

Chocolatetoastforbreakfast · 23/01/2023 12:58

I have a young female TRA in my life. I hoped that the decapitate TERFs sign might be a turning point. I linked her to it and some resources about violent TRAs. Nope. She doesn’t give a shit. The brainwashed will just write the sign off as an anomaly, not representing the poor marginalised vulnerable trans people. Some are actually claiming it was a TERF who made the sign to discredit trans people.

WarriorN · 23/01/2023 13:06

I left a comment beneath the piece; obviously didn't get through moderation but was hopefully seen.

I need a new email account to email.

PoliticalFootball · 23/01/2023 13:10

That sign was created by someone who went to the Bonjour club workshop. It was held by someone who was there in a group, clearly together with other fellow Trans people and allies. Absolute desperation to accuse an imaginary 'Txxf' of trying to 'discredit' the Trans movement. They have enough people doing that all by themselves.

I hope the piece can be redacted enough to protect the case of. I'm so sorry for what you went through but am glad you escaped the awful situation you were in and are building a new life. I can't believe the cruelty of those who have targeted you today on social media.

IcakedefargeIam · 23/01/2023 13:15

@thecaseofthepurplecushion I'm so sorry, I hope the article gets amended. I agree with pp, if you're who I think you are are, you don't come across at all badly in it. Try to enjoy your day looking at the venue and congratulations on your forthcoming nuptials.Flowers
