I just love this woman! She undoubtedly has the Midas touch when it comes to marketing and publicity.

I have been to several of her events over the years, and she has time for each and every woman who comes to see her.

Any other fans here?

I don't think at this stage your commentary on political strategy is particularly credible.

But the conferences where she is appearing with far right/social conservative/anti abortion/anti LGB speakers aren’t engaging with diverse audiences at all. She is preaching to the converted, which is why she is invited. And the audiences she speaks to are, for the most part, small.

Appearing alongside these types is self defeating. This is because to have any meaningful effect she will have to appeal to a broad audience and these associations means most mainstream media won’t touch her with a barge pole, and she’s relegated to low-audience bottom feeders like GB News.

its a dumb, self defeating political strategy.

And yet it seems to work rather effectively 🤔

Also it is okay to talk to and associate with people who have different opinions to you on a variety of topics. I don’t know how any society, community or family would function without dialogue and associations between people who have different opinions.

Such as? I'm actually drawing a blank here. She doesn't really do conferences at all, preferring to do her own public-square campaigning.

I can't actually remember seeing her at one since the Jam Jar event at Bristol, where the speakers were the complete opposite.

(Sticking in the link because I love it - it's a great bit of history, and you've got the epic impromptu Magdalen Berns appearance at 1:54).

Anyone else got any links to anything more recent?

its a dumb, self defeating political strategy.

Someone who really thinks their opponent is using a dumb, self-defeating political strategy wouldn't spend all their time explaining how dumb and self-defeating it was.

Unless their own strategy was incredibly dumb and self-defeating. Therefore if her strategy is dumb and self-defeating, so is yours, so you're the last person to listen to with strategic advice on how to change it.

Be Kind, Helle!
ELO is just here to give Posie some constructive criticism in order to improve the GC political strategy!

it’s not necessary, of course, because GC isn’t one thing and various people are engaging in various strategies so WPUK are already doing it ELO’s preferred way (lefty purity) while Posie is doing things her way (talking to anyone who stands still long enough to hear) and indeed various other grassroots orgs are developing their own strategies, some feminist, eg FPFW and some materialist eg Sex Matters and some child safeguarding focused eg Safe Schools Alliance and some LGB focused eg the Gay Men’s Network and Get the L Out! Just a handful of examples of the many out there.

Still, it is very generous of ELO to offer Posie free advice, even tho ELO is well aware Posie would tell him/her/xer/per/them to cock right off.

I think it might be doofus day in East London

NecessaryScene · 13/01/2023 13:50

(talking to anyone who stands still long enough to hear)

I'm now pondering if that condition is necessary, how fast-moving she is, and whether the jumpsuits are to maintain speed with a moving target.

“I gatekeep the diversity policy at HSBC” said no one ever.

Tell that to Reshma Moloo.

'HSBC Private Bank has hired ex-Citi Private Bank gatekeeper Reshma Moloo in a wider move to create 10 new roles to strengthen its funds and ETFs coverage.'

So what are the lies that have been said about KJK?

And I suppose it's you/ GC feminists in general that get to determine what is a fact, what is opinion, what is truth, what Is lies? Am I right?

No darling. There's such a thing as verifiable fact. If someone claims that KJK is a holocaust denier, they need to support that claim with evidence. If they can't, then it's a lie.

TheClogLady · 13/01/2023 13:59

See comparison to Annika Rice upthread!

Maybe we could start dropping Posie off via helicopter? Coming down a rope ladder would be an interesting entrance and useful for avoiding protestors?

Helleofabore · 13/01/2023 14:03

Here are a few of the other speakers at this conference in Norway:

Please name the speaker who is a holocaust denier, because I could not find that politician named amongst the videos of the sessions from that February event. I am not denying that Hans Jørgen Lysglimt Johansen was at the event, do you have any evidence that he was speaking? At all?

Or was he just there.

Here are the ones that I could find. It seems that this was a focused event on Gender Identity.

Marit Ronstad

She is discussing ROGD. You know, that medical phenomenon that does not happen according to extreme trans activists who are putting teenagers at significant risk through the denial?

Here is her profile on Genspect:

genspect.org/team/

Marit Halvorsen

A law professor discussing the impact of gender laws in Norway. She is one of Norways leading health law experts and has a history in women's rights studies and campaigning.

Lars Akerhaug

Talking about the laws being passed around gender identity from an investigative journalist point of view. It seems that Lars is from the left.

And some music from Hungry Hearts performing Laika & Vagina Anthem.

Hungry Hearts is a lesbian artist collective that has participated in over 50 international film festivals, the Norwegian "Høstutstillingen" (Autumn Exhibition), CODE, European Song Contest, and The Norwegian Opera with short films, concerts and performances. Hungry Hearts' first album Dyke Forever was released in 2016. In 2018, Hungry Hearts was refused to perform Vagina Anthem at Haugar Vestland Kunstmuseum after pressure from transactivists claiming Vagina Anthem could be perceived as offensive by some transgender people. The recording of the telephone call (in Norwegian) from the museum is part of the performance.

Now ELO. How about that evidence that Hans Jørgen Lysglimt Johansen was speaking and what he spoke about please.

Helleofabore · 13/01/2023 14:05

I would suggest she’s a non-entity pretty much in the broader public mind.

Wow, is ELO still wanging on about KJK?

Rent free...

Not used as a verb though, is it?

Remember the debate was whether “to gatekeep” is a commonly used verb.

Nice try but no prize for you this time.

She's definitely not as well known as JK Rowling.

But she's a lot more well known than you.

Yes, it's used as a verb! What do you think a gatekeeper is? A gatekeeper is a person who gatekeeps.

I know I shouldn't respond to these posts because it must be so embarrassing for you to not have such basic knowledge. But you really need to educate yourself, I'm afraid.

The word might exist, but it’s not commonly used as a verb, is it? Especially in business as mentioned upthread. Sorry.

You mean 'hee hee'. But we've established that words and meanings are not a strength of yours.

Getting back to the point of the thread, one of the things I admire about KJK is her verbal fluency. She's a very articulate and eloquent speaker.
