www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-11091543/NHS-advice-periods-goes-woke-Advice-refers-people-bleed.html

So should I be worried if a young man starts to bleed? It's normal right?
When will our son's start their periods?

Exactly everyone bleeds. So it makes no sense.

Temporaryname158 · 09/08/2022 10:08

Transgender males may also have periods, need smear tests etc. I am sure you son will be fine if not born with female anatomy. I’m pretty sure you would have noticed that by now

transgener males? your language is so tortured you are incapable of making sense.

I can assure you no-one born male will ever menstruate

I presume you are talking about trans men, a.k.a. transger females, byt really, who the fuck knows?

Chersfrozenface · 09/08/2022 10:13

All people bleed if they cut themselves. And bleeding from, say, the penis or the rectum is often a sign of a serious health problem.

So it needs to be more specific. Perhaps "people who bleed regularly from the vagina".

MagpiePi · 09/08/2022 10:13

Ridiculous! Like it says, they are trying to remove the stigma around periods but erasing women and girls in the process.

However, I did notice that the article refers to 'Trans woman, a male who turns female..' and similar phrases implying that transitioning changes a person's sex.

Or perhaps just refer to 'women and girls' ?

ZuttZeVootEeeVo · 09/08/2022 10:15

Redefining girls as 'young people' is also disturbing. The correct words are girls, and children depending on the context. Young people could be any age.

No, because you are forgetting about the many people who are not educated (and yes there are a lot in this country), who have minimal language comprehension skills, who speak English as a second language etc.
It's not clear, there is no clarity to their garbled mess of a message.
Needles to say the literature pertaining to men and male issues never changes.

It's easy for them to add a side not about trans men if they wanted to, but they decide, instead, to sweep women and girls off the face of the map.

This is a really good, clear article about the change by stealth and the damage done by it. The comments say it all.

What is 'female anatomy'? Who has it?

Whatwouldscullydo · 09/08/2022 10:17

Oh ffs.

If a boy or man starts bleeding from the genitals they need a dr.

If a girl reaches 16 and hasnt started her periods she needs to see a dr. Not to be able to believe she is just a person who doesn't bleed.

So sick of period no longer being a dirty word but women/girl being one instead.

Woman just means adult human female. Its inclusive of all identities held by female people aka women.

ThickCutSteakChips · 09/08/2022 10:17

'People who bleed across Wales' sounds even weirder. Like someone has cut their leg and is now running around Wales!

"Transgender Males and Female Anatomy" a paradoxical fantasy jaunt by Temporaryname158

Chapter One:

A transgender male is a male with female anatomy, however he is still male, which is nothing and everything to do with genitals all at once and not at all....

Even those educated in the online culture wars can't keep up with the constantly changing language.

I love the phrase "young people who bleed all over Wales". Such bad grammar as well as erasing women and girls!

Don't some men who have had surgery on their penis call their genitalia vaginas. And I'm sure some women and girls who want to identify as men and boys like to refer to their vaginas using other words.

It's difficult to get all of the facts into a snappy slogan when we can't have words for sex and biology.

Cailleach1 · 09/08/2022 10:24

Well, I suppose it can cover bleeding of all types. If you start spitting blood, colon cancers, Inflammatory bowel disease, haemophilia. All these chappies should have someone say it may be their periods and give them a tampon to stick somewhere. All natural, and 1 out of 2 people and all that.

Next, you could reduce sore bits to non specifics too. If you have a sore bit, (eg your wrist) you may have appendicitis, fibroids, etc, etc.

Then they could continue on until the notices say 'ug, ug, ug'. The people who are pushing this bs should have to be treated by medical personnel who pretend there is no finer knowledge or better science available either. 'Ah, your penis is inflamed. You are pregnant'.

The barbarians have breached the gatekeeping, and are destroying civilisation. Well for women and children, at any rate.

RocketPanda · 09/08/2022 10:26

People who bleed regularly from their vagina is even more ambiguous and regular bleeding outside of menstruation needs to be checked.

Women and girls works just fine. Seriously these snowflakes need to toughen the fuck up, sick of the pandering to their attention seeking.

Babdoc · 09/08/2022 10:27

If I saw an article headlined “People who bleed” I’d assume it was about haemophiliacs, and therefore nothing to do with me.
How did the NHS get dragged so far away from reality by a few misogynist activists?

HipTightOnions · 09/08/2022 10:27

And how do "young people" know whether they're the type of young people who can expect to have periods?

"Emma, when you're older you will have periods because you're a... a... a person who bleeds. Liam, you won't have periods because you're a... a... a person who er.. doesn't bleed."

Is that how it's supposed to go?

These people can only do this shit because evil witches like us actually tell the kids the truth.

They hate us but they need us to keep doing what we are doing so that makes them hate us even more.

Erasing girls and women one drop at a time!

You can bleed from anywhere too.

Totally hilarious.

They always look stupid when they pull stunts like this

TheWeeDonkey · 09/08/2022 10:33

Everybody bleeds, what a stupid thing to say.
