Huge difference between a by-election and the real thing.

A by election is the real thing. My money’s on a hung Parliament too, for what it’s worth.

@user1471504747

People have their own perceptions. I don’t think Johnson is a misogynist or a racist. A lech and a lazy drunk, possibly. But anyway, let’s agree on one thing: the fat lady is singing.

I agree with that. I think Boris is lazy and not across detail and lets things slip and is chaotic and wants to be liked too much and is inconsistent and tries to wriggle out of things instead of taking responsibility. And is a faithless philanderer. But not racist nor misogynistic.

And his time is up - probably- though they cannot make him go if he chooses to brazen it out. It will take more than two to resign I think. Quite a few more.

I just hope women's rights survive all this. I am really, really sorry to loose Sajid Javid from health.

Honestly get the Scottish government to scrap their daft gender bollocks and have them run the entire country. I say that as an English person

Because we want massive numbers of drugs deaths and a shit education and health system?

No thanks

FortonServices · 05/07/2022 19:39

He might be likeable but even he can’t bring about grid lock by striking.

I am aware of that being one of the many who can WFH. My point was the government deliberately didn't negotiate with him because they thought the public would be against him when actually he became pretty popular.

I don’t think they need to

he lost the wind in his sails when he saw he couldn’t get the carnage of days of old

out of all the strikes rail has the weakest position

Viviennemary · 05/07/2022 19:41

Not before time if he goes. These Covid parties were a disgrace.

Mollyollydolly · 05/07/2022 19:28

Just keep everything crossed we don't end up with Penny Mordaunt. She's an outsider but with a lot of support. If we do .. it'll be all over re self id etc. Anyone but Mordant.

Agree!

FigRollsAlly · 05/07/2022 19:42

Fuck no. Have you seen the state of pretty much everything in Scotland?

Abhannmor · 05/07/2022 19:47

I doubt Labour will win an overall majority. Neither will the Tories though. Not without their Cheeky Chappie / Rabble Rouser. Perhaps Bozo could go to the country as the Only I Can Save Brexit candidate? Will it work twice however 🤔

RedToothBrush · 05/07/2022 19:49

Stolen from twatter:

Who is in charge of Vice in the Conservative Party now the Tory Vice Chair has resigned?

Obviously he wasn't doing his job properly and wasn't doing enough vice!

Skinterior · 05/07/2022 19:50

I think there are a few vice chairs in the Tory party.

But with Bim being the MP for Hitchin he's pretty much the MP for Mumsnet Grin

Cuck00soup · 05/07/2022 19:50

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats
It's taken them a fucking long time to find their backbones

Yep. Only care about ethics when they think they will win a leadership bid. Disgusting.

That's where I am too. Boris has to go, but I'm not cheering the opportunists. Talking of which, do we think Gove will stab Boris in the front or the back?

Clymene · 05/07/2022 19:50

achillestoes · 05/07/2022 18:30

@Clymene

Don’t hold back, now. 😂

Grin not keen. Can you tell?

Well when Gove moves, you know its all over for Johnson so...

Well, the Vice Chair of the party's just resigned too

Next ... ??

Now Tory vice chair Bim Afolami has resigned live on air!

twitter.com/TheNewsDesk/status/1544388951435247625

They are resigning because their local constituency party members are giving them a hard time, because the ongoing shambles in Westminster is now making the Conservative party look bad. Those local members apparently weren’t too fussed about integrity when they voted for BJ to be party leader. They must have known what he was like.

Laughing.

Tell you what, though, if you lot were in charge the UK would be in a better place.

They are all vile little self-interested opportunists.

Absolutely

Far too long

Skinterior · 05/07/2022 19:55

Bim needs to get his arse into gear. He wasn't up for the continuation of telephone appointments for abortion post covid.

If the Lib Dems or Labour work out what a woman is he's fucked.

Dave20 · 05/07/2022 19:55

Im surprised. I actually thought Jarvid and Sunak were the best of the bad bunch..

Dave20 · 05/07/2022 19:57

Javid I meant

achillestoes · 05/07/2022 19:58

@Dave20

Probably why they resigned.
