Apparently Facebook allow this despite apparently not allowing female nipples. I'm so confused!

What are your thoughts on this image?

Isn't the message that everyone is affected by periods? Either they live with daughters wife's mother's, colleagues workbgeta affected etc.

So it's everyone's concern

FrancescaContini · 01/06/2022 21:33

I find it horrifying and sickening.

No! That is absolutely not the message this advert is trying to portray - they are all transmen.

All that healthy tissue incinerated Sad

OvOvO · 01/06/2022 21:35

My thoughts are best kept to myself 🦖

So many mastectomy scars. Very sad.

Facebook
can't show breasts unfortunately for you, and
they have shown this picture because these
people don't have breasts, they had
mastectomies.

So wouod a woman with a mastectomy be allowed to show her exposed breast. I doubt it. Could menstruating women show their bloody pants? I don't think so. But on a transperson they can. Double standard

Of course women who’ve had mastectomies can show their chests. I’ve seen lots of cancer-related campaigns showing that.

And “bloody pants” aren’t banned by Facebook. It’s companies like Always who’ve decided it’s better to show blue liquid going into a pad than blood.

bellamountain · 01/06/2022 21:38

How many women do you know, would proudly display their period stains? Actual women know you don't wear white when you're on. It's bloody ridiculous! Further, period blood doesn't tend to be bright red fresh blood. How simple do they look?!

moodybluetit · 01/06/2022 21:41

Why is MN so appalled by voluntary mastectomy but seems posters are encouraged to put stuff in their breasts to make them bigger?

YellowDots · 01/06/2022 21:41

Any links to those? I can't see any at all.

moodybluetit · 01/06/2022 21:41

At least it's red and not blue 🤣

mrshoho · 01/06/2022 21:42

Would transmen who have taken drastic action of mastectomies not also be taking testosterone to stop their periods?

Where are these posts encouraging breast enlargement?

Somewhereinfragglerock · 01/06/2022 21:44

Ahhh and good day to you darlings! Mother nature here, just your monthly reminder that despite your very best efforts you are in fact still female! Have a great week now won't you 🤗

HairyBum · 01/06/2022 21:44

Wrong colour for blood and too tidy for something that’s meant to represent period blood.

its meant to be a statement image but it just highlights the present fashion

DrDetriment · 01/06/2022 21:45

My kind, totally non abusive, post expressing sadness at this picture was just deleted by MN for no reason. It seems this board is no longer a safe space for gender critical feminists.

RenegadeMatron · 01/06/2022 21:45

yourmum6969 · 01/06/2022 21:28

What is there to be confused about? Facebook
can't show breasts unfortunately for you, and
they have shown this picture because these
people don't have breasts, they had
mastectomies. Does it surprise you to know trans
people exist? And they too have uteruses? And
that some also have periods? Shocker. Don't be
so ignorant and "non-woke", it doesn't make you
cool, it makes you rude.

So transmen and men can show their nipples, but women can’t?

How does that work?

Paint splattered y-fronts, why?

moodybluetit · 01/06/2022 21:46

Where are these posts encouraging breast enlargement?

There are many I've seen where women ask about it and encouraged to do it, posters say how it changed their life, made them so happy etc

Of course they are always doing it 'for themselves' society has had no part in it

I would say people having mastectomies are more likely doing it for themselves than the people having stuff put in their breasts to enlarge them

Hmm, "people have nipples" - would that work for FB?

OldCrone · 01/06/2022 21:49

What makes you think that? People having trans surgery usually seem very concerned about 'passing' and worried about being 'misgendered'. They seem to be doing it very much for other people.

QuillBill · 01/06/2022 21:50

Women have had to 'be rude' all throughout history in order to be heard and to stand up for themselves. It's not 'being a prick'.

GromblesofGrimbledon · 01/06/2022 21:50

I find it baffling that these women want to be seen as men and have gone to the effort of injecting themselves with testosterone and having their breasts cut off in order to achieve this, and yet they appear undressed in this photo with fake blood smeared across their underwear.

I would think that their periods would "trigger their dysphoria" and they'd prefer to just quietly wear sanitary products and get on with it. You know, the way all woman do all the damn time anyway.

Stick a pad in your pants and get on with your life ffs.
