Yes.... this is the poster that posted a link to an article about the increase of LGBT characters as an authority on increase in LGB population.

It was also interesting to note that article also noted the subsequent decrease in the characters that represented other protected characteristics. Maybe the hiring of actors with disabilities is no longer as important ...

Still waiting for all sources detailing the increase in LGB people to be very clear about what they are measuring.

Because if you are now measuring those who declare they are lesbian or gay because they are now 'same gender' oriented, then... that would be a statistical error and giving false data.

But I am really sure that both wait and hearache already have worked this out.

I have a question- genuine question- about this, since you say you understand a lot about it.
Since the decision reached in 2013 allowed for religions to choose whether to undertake gay marriages, and therefore didn't interfere in the sacraments of individual religions - and since then some churches have started undertaking gay weddings but others haven't been made to do so- why would the same objection still be valid in 2019?
Do some religions/ denominations feel a sense of ownership over civil marriage too?
I know this has nothing to do with Monkeypox but as this thread is long since derailed I'm going to ask anyway.

Very true. Even if Jackie Doyle Price didn't support it it would still be excusing homophobia, calling for LGBT spaces to be shut down and spreading misinformation about our community.

And this is not an issue about Tories. A great many of whom are strong supporters of the whole LGBT community - such as Ruth Davidson and Caroline Nokes.

It's funny how LGBA isn't "allowed" straight supporters.

They are reviled by most of the LGBT community because they only exist to undermine our rights.

I always find it strange when LGB people and their supporters are only supposed to have certain political views. It's like expecting all women, or all disabled people to share the same politics.

LGB Alliance advocates for all LGB people, not just those with a particular set of views. That's what they were set up to do.

Indeed, they are not. But in any LGBT organisation I've been a member of they certainly number more than 7%.

The reason why this is not the case with the LGB Alliance is because most of their supporters are straight as they exist solely to undermine the LGBT community

Christ, all the police forces, government departments etc are stonewall supporters/captives (*delete as appropriate). Stonewall is the establishment. Most people i know that go to pride are straight. But let's give a kicking to a new organisation led mainly by women.

LGB people are not a hive mind, many including some in stonewall weren't in favour of same sex marriage.

They called for all commercial sex venues to shut temporarily to protect people's health.
