@Emotionalsupportviper I'm genuinely laughing and crying....fuckit I'm only human. I'm off to Waitrose. Don't need shoes or coat. I'll sell them to support my biscuit habit!

😂😂😂

Tribunal Tweets have published a summary of proceeding which is a useful index of proceedings. Included a sketch of BC (no support wren)

tribunaltweets.substack.com/p/allison-bailey-vs-stonewall-and-garden-6f9?s=w

If anyone on here has any drawing skills, it is your duty to add the support wren. Preferably poking out of BC's beard.

Right, I'm back dark chocolate ginger and orange, and one of those sharing (sharing?) packs.

@Emotionalsupportviper saw you'd had a post deleted, genuinely thought it was the one with the biscuit pornGrin

I wish they'd send an e-mail telling you which tweet it was and why. I can't remember posting anything particularly unkind and am now scouring what I am pleased to think of as my memory for what I wrote.

I like to think of my biscuit porn as being "niche" 😁

BarryStir · 27/05/2022 16:05

I bought a Borders biscuit multipack today 😬

<consumed with envy>

legaltigger · 27/05/2022 16:52

If I had my iPad with me I would totally add the support wren. Alas, it shall have to be someone else!

PonyPatter44 · 27/05/2022 16:53

Just popping in to say that even though I haven't contributed to the threads (because no MN or tribunal at work so I could only catch up in the evening) I've enjoyed reading them immensely, but been utterly horrified by some of the performances. SW throwing clearly inadequate people under the bus, QCs with less professional curiosity than a wren, human rights barristers who don't apparently care about human rights...what an utter shitshow.

Thank you Allison, for standing up to these clowns.

ResisterRex · 27/05/2022 16:54

@Bundlephobia you might well be onto something there.

AlisonDonut · 27/05/2022 16:57

Honestly I'm so tired of trying to have the argument with him about how important this is. He just doesn't see it. (male privilege).

I remember in about 2017 by male colleagues [all who have male children] getting confused over sex and gender.

I explained it thus:
Sex is knowing that none of you could get pregnant and give birth to your children, that only your female wives/girlfriends could do that bit. [Also that I'm the only female in the team].
Gender is feeling weird should your son want to do ballet.

They got it immediately.

To save you further memory-scouring, it was the one where you referred to India Willoughby as ‘he’.

IcakethereforeIam · 27/05/2022 17:13

Actually, thinking about it Border is a very apposite brand.

It's great seeing Mumsnet in the wild.

Ah! Thank you - I'd forgotten all about that one.

Biology eh? Transphobic as hell.

Biology eh? Transphobic as hell.

That’s ok. I feel I should be transparent and be clear it was me that reported it.

Rightsraptor · 27/05/2022 17:27

Thanks for your reply @ickky about 20th June login etc. I'll put in my diary to check after 10th June and post here if there's any info.

SupportSpindle · 27/05/2022 17:28

I don't think our legal friend from the case, the BundleGate One, can enjoy social media interactions about it until after the 20th June 2022, as that is when the hearing formally concludes.

Then there is the wait for the formal determination, so the case (I presume) is still technically ongoing until then - possibly September(ish)?

Emotionalsupportviper · 27/05/2022 17:31

Helen8220 · 27/05/2022 17:24

That’s ok. I feel I should be transparent and be clear it was me that reported it.

Fair enough.

I don't feel that we should buy into pronouns, but I am aware that may people consider it a courtesy to use them.

Emotionalsupportviper · 27/05/2022 17:32

*many people, not may

AlisonDonut · 27/05/2022 17:33

That’s ok. I feel I should be transparent and be clear it was me that reported it.

So it is fine to say 'I reported you for calling Willoughby a he' but not to say 'he'.

Why is it so bad to say 'he' and not to say 'you're not allowed to call IW he'?

Which do you think gives more exposure to what it is we aren't allowed to say?

Do you people ever think it through?

Helen8220 · 27/05/2022 17:36

Fair enough.

I don't feel that we should buy into pronouns, but I am aware that many people consider it a courtesy to use them.

I assume by “buy into pronouns” you mean use people’s preferred pronouns? I think it’s important, but I know many here feel differently.

Emotionalsupportviper · 27/05/2022 17:37

And the Kirrin one, @Helen8220 ?

Dear me!

Emotionalsupportviper · 27/05/2022 17:37

And the Kirrin one, @Helen8220 ?

Dear me!

Is that another message of yours that was reported? I don’t know about that, wasn’t me (at least not that I recall) .

ifIwerenotanandroid · 27/05/2022 17:40

Take it outside, eh? This is a nice thread.

How much longer can the Maya verdict BE??
