Deleted threads

Hi , I've noticed a lot of deleted threads today on this board.
Glitch with my app or something more insidious?

For some there appear to be ongoing court cases, and perhaps it is related to court cases that have a jury, who could be influenced by outside media? Or perhaps the courts have issued notices for certain cases?

TBH I would hate that the outcomes of certain cases could be negatively affected by discussion. Rather not have the discussion and the correct result was made in court instead.

Another one I was reading there just went. I was happy to have read the first page as it was interesting and informative about surrogacy in Ireland.

Although many think surrogacy is exploitation, it was good to read that at least there seems to be some protection for the rights of the baby and birth mother. Even if the ovum has been 'harvested' from another woman. They can't be completely ignored or erased, as happened to woman so much in Ireland.

Part of the investigations into the abuses carried out into the mother and baby homes revealed the babies birth certs had been 'altered'. Babies (at a cost) were adopted - many by Americans and exported to the US. They couldn't even find out as adults who their mother was as the records had been doctored.

@Cailleach1 Unfortunately I fear that the proposed surrogacy bill may slip in birth cert changes all while decrying the exact same thing occuring historically. There has been so much in the Irish media about how unfair the existing situation is from the point of view of the commissioning parents that it seems to be paving the way for a change...but of course falsifying birth certs in that situation is completely different 🙄
