The Tribunal will start on 25th April at 10am. If you would like to view online you need to send a request for access as early as possible.

Send an email to

[email protected]

The subject heading of the email request should read

“MEDIA OR PUBLIC ACCESS REQUEST – Case number 2202172/2020 - Ms A Bailey – 25th April 2022.

Then ask for the pin for the online access.

You will be contacted with instructions on how to observe the hearing.

I have sent a request but haven't had anything back yet. Hopefully nearer the time.

From memory I think they only email details very close to the start date. I also think the first few days may be taken up with pre reading and any legal arguments.

AnnieLou12 · 21/04/2022 12:15

Allison sent out an email yesterday saying that the first two days would be set aside for reading and there would be no witnesses. However, she also said that on the first day there are usually matters arising for the tribunal to deal with so “it’s worth planning to follow proceedings on Monday”. Sounds interesting!

Alison's update email said to email her for the tribunal email address to request an access link. I'm presuming it'll be the same one that Ickky kindly provided at the top of the thread that I've already sent my request to. Thanks, @ickky!

What should Ben Cooper's catch phrase be? I nominate

Let's just break that down Grin

"A laudable aim".

ickky · 21/04/2022 16:51

Might be worth doing both, just in case.

It's the same email address from Allison. 👌

rogdmum · 22/04/2022 15:19

My code just came through so it looks like they are starting to send them out this afternoon.

AlisonDonut · 22/04/2022 15:21

AngelicInnocent · 22/04/2022 16:26

Snowed under at work so won't be able to follow it. I hope someone amazing will be posting updates.

Redshoeblueshoe · 22/04/2022 16:50

Well this is certainly something to look forward too

Lio · 22/04/2022 16:52

Mine too. I have to work Monday and Tuesday but should be able to observe some later in the week.

SpinningForVictory · 22/04/2022 23:56

I'll be following.

EmbarrassingHadrosaurus · 23/04/2022 00:18

matters arising for the tribunal to deal with so “it’s worth planning to follow proceedings on Monday”. Sounds interesting!

Will we have an evidence bundle to study? Are there going to be pre-hearing briefing notes so we understand more about how to follow along and the true significance of "matters arising."

We need modules. Being a renaissance style GC advocate requires a familiarity with zoology, sports medicine, endocrinology, the niceties of employment tribunals, the waves of feminism, post-modernism, queer theory and so much more. (OT: hoping this gif works because it does in preview.)

Didn't get mine yet. 😞

Triotriotrio · 23/04/2022 08:01

I got mine around 4pm yesterday. I'm back to back with meetings all week though 😭😭

cloudcats · 24/04/2022 11:37

I just realised this is tomorrow!

This has the potential to be hugely significant, doesn't it?

The era of no debate is well and truly over for Stonewall, they are (finally!) going to have to answer questions about their ideology in court. Given they've refused to do this over the last several years, they've had no practice in honing their arguments, this is likely to be a shit show for them, isn't it?

And it doesn't help them one bit that they're up against the formidable Ben Cooper Grin

EmbarrassingHadrosaurus · 24/04/2022 11:47

Apparently the first day would normally be quite boring but Allison Bailey has tipped that we should be on the lookout for the "matters arising" discussion.

Redshoeblueshoe · 24/04/2022 18:41

Does anyone know if Tribunal Tweets will be tweeting ?
I might pop over to Twitter to check

Redshoeblueshoe · 24/04/2022 18:53

well that was a stupid question. Just looked and I'm already following Tribunal Tweets - Alison Bailey

TheFnozwhowasmirage · 24/04/2022 18:57

lamujerenfadada · 15/04/2022 14:04

I also need to see the order of witnesses with an outline schedule because I need to plan my work calendar around particular witnesses.

Absolutely this Grin

Agreed!

NoImAVeronica · 25/04/2022 07:58
