The Tribunal will start on 25th April at 10am. If you would like to view online you need to send a request for access as early as possible.

Send an email to

[email protected]

The subject heading of the email request should read

“MEDIA OR PUBLIC ACCESS REQUEST – Case number 2202172/2020 - Ms A Bailey – 25th April 2022.

Then ask for the pin for the online access.

You will be contacted with instructions on how to observe the hearing.

I have sent a request but haven't had anything back yet. Hopefully nearer the time.

The hearing is now being streamed.

tabbycatstripy · 29/04/2022 10:00

AB is on the list of people present.

nauticant · 29/04/2022 10:01

On the stream, Nicola Williams is in place of the judge. That's a positive sign.

tabbycatstripy · 29/04/2022 10:03

I'd take that.

ickky · 29/04/2022 10:04

No bundle available yet, Garden Chambers dragging their feet!

Oh phew! I'm really relieved to hear Allison feels well enough to be attending.

97% funded now so that will take a bit of stress off.

GrownUpBeans · 29/04/2022 10:05

It has started, hope you get in soon...

nauticant · 29/04/2022 10:06

Interesting to see the judge interacting with a member of the public, Helen Steel, via chat.

PonyPatter44 · 29/04/2022 10:08

Best of luck, Allison, and please take it easy and rest when you can.

SpindleInTheWind · 29/04/2022 10:09

It that THE Helen Steel?!

nauticant · 29/04/2022 10:09

Did I hear right the judge saying that an observer used a pseudonym that was a taunt to the claimant? If I did hear that right, I'd hope the judge can see that that's typical for this context.

PrawnofthePatriarchy · 29/04/2022 10:09

Placemarking.

nauticant · 29/04/2022 10:11

Ah, yes: twitter.com/tribunaltweets/status/1519966878113873923

nauticant · 29/04/2022 10:13

Listening to EJ's summary of the issues makes clear it's a monster.

Today will be 2 witnesses about gender critical beliefs. I didn't get the impression that that would be AB.

nauticant · 29/04/2022 10:15

Late submission of a document to do with Irish Times piece. Tribunal have decided not to submit the document, although it might be relevant to Stonewall and its diversity champions, the evidence already in the case will be sufficient to decide on the relevant points.

nauticant · 29/04/2022 10:20

"Six and a half thousands" documents are in the case.

tabbycatstripy · 29/04/2022 10:21

Nicola Williams is the first witness.

nauticant · 29/04/2022 10:21

First witness: Dr Nicola Williams.

ickky · 29/04/2022 10:21

Still housekeeping, get on with it.

it's great looking at the list of impressive names attending. Nic Williams is first up.

ickky · 29/04/2022 10:27

PurpleDrain · 29/04/2022 10:29

I’ve just been kicked out aswell.

nauticant · 29/04/2022 10:30

Ahh, that was just a prelude to cross-examination by AH.
