Please sign into CSP and look at the new iCSP discussion "Stonewall and the CSP"

A great thread beginning and agreement that stonewall are problematic and women's rights are being overlapped by male rights

Then a HUGE ESSAY by a TRA

Sad

Just how much trans-related guidance do we need?

Can’t get through to the link but checked on X. The page links to the same old CSP page but with updated guidance.

This is where my £37 a month (!!!!!) is going grrr

I hope the Darlington nurses and Sandy Peggie’s cases go the gender critical way.

WOOOOO HOOOOOO Supreme Court says a woman / female means biological sex.

Hopefully the CSP and other unions start realising gender does not equal sex.

Can hardly contain myself at work Grin

I thought they might put something out on X about the ruling but no, they're too busy with asexuality day. Quite the typo there too!

I'm sure wims here, and everywhere, will be delighted by this considerate concern for their welfare.

“Gender segregation” no! Gender can do whatever it wants. Say the word “sex” “TQIA+” “folx”!

The ruling won’t “harm” anyone identifying as trans, queer, intersex, asexual or “+”. They are still as protected against discrimination or harassment on the grounds of their sex or any gender reassignment. It just means women can feel safe in protected single sex spaces because males, if they feel “gendery” or not, won’t be allowed access.

What about standing with their GC members also? I don’t get why they must be so partisan and political about this. Why can’t they have a balanced view.

Ritasueandbobtoo9 · 17/04/2025 18:18

They don’t care about women, in a predominantly female occupation.

stealtheatingtunnocks · 17/04/2025 20:45

That is tone deaf.

Calyx72 · 17/04/2025 20:48

It makes me want to leave. I feel there is no balance in the CSP’s thinking on women’s sex based rights and trans rights. There is no indication that women’s sex based rights are at all reasonable or relevant.

I feel exactly the same. The articles in Frontline finished me off.
I read our trust weekly corporate update today & there was mention of pregnant people. Grrrrrrrrr!!

I still can't get over the Frontline article about a clearly female physio that referred to her and "they" and "he", sometimes in the same paragraph!

That's the one that truly finished me with Frontline. Dreadful writing, I'm not even going to call it journalism.

RadFiz · 18/04/2025 16:16

The person in that interview sounded utterly self-obsessed and seemed unaware that maybe colleagues were more interested in patient care than enquiring about what she/he/they liked to do at the weekend!

Why are CSP pandering to these attention seekers?

stealtheatingtunnocks · 20/04/2025 10:30

This from Lucy Hunter Blackburn looks like good advice - screenshot and archive reactions which are not legally based.

I hope the CSP are taking note. I am heartened by Sandy Peggie’s bravery and hope she comes out on top in the ongoing tribunal. Cannot believe how badly NHS Fife are handling it with the 4 times amended press statement released during the actual tribunal!

And police are not to breach their duty of impartiality by aligning themselves with a political side by attending pride marches. As we have said should be the case with all professions and unions.

I doubt they are taking any notice when they allow their LGBT network to post fundraisers for women wanting to remove their perfectly healthy breasts...

About 15 years ago, I read a story in the CSP magazine about a trans-identifying female physio.

She was very prescriptive about how other people had to address her and speak about her, and the things management and colleagues and patients had to do to avoid offending transpeople.

It just seemed like a mildly unusual lifestyle at the time. I had no inkling of what was coming!
