This is, I guess, a natural outcome of TWAW - but also shows just how woke parts of NZ are (and which kind of “women” they really admire)

There were 11 NZ women who actually won medals at the Olympics.

That is quite outrageous but will hopefully cut through to women (sporty ones and non sporty ones) in NZ and open their eyes to the very obvious unfairness and really get the conversation going there.

We need to see who these 11 NZ medal winners are and choose a SportsWoman of the year (MN/NZ)

Happy to chip in a little for the prize money too if NZ MNers can organise something.

Apart from anything, LH was rubbish in the Olympics! No woman would have won a Sportswoman of the Year on the basis of their performance.

LH doesn't even fit into the mould of 'hot athlete', which is the other main reason women achieve recognition in sports (Anna Kournikova, for instance, despite never winning a Grand Slam).

So LH, a person who put in a poor performance at the Olympics and who does not conform to modern female beauty ideals wins an award.

This just goes to show how mtf transitioners are not actually viewed or treated as women, even by those who claim TWAW.

If I was Lisa Carrington or any of the other medal winners, I would be feeling very short changed, Three gold medals is an exceptional achievement, whereas Hubbards appearance was total failure. The New Zealand public should be questioning this.
