As expected, males take priory over women. LH is not a woman, will never be a woman and yet this is who NZ chose as sportswoman of the year. It's total disrespect to the actual women who competed.

This is just embarrassing for NZ considering that a) not a woman and b) performed poorly in contrast to the NZ female athletes who won medals for country.

Ironically if Hubbard was a woman they would not of won this based on this year's poor performance.

A trans lobby group called Press For Change lobbied parliament a few years ago and the editors of major news outlets were called in and agreed to sign up to media style guidelines that are 'trans inclusive'.

As has become apparent in the intervening years what this has meant in reality is that news reporters are unable to report things truthfully often with grave consequence for women.

A lobby group press for change has been trying very hard and with much success to make sure twaw when it matters, use correct pronouns and leave pictures out of reports when it might make people question who that "woman" is.

So there's another opportunity taken from women by a TW.
