She was absolutely brilliant . Nicky really didn't know what hit him.

@Kendodd basically the question was what can men do to help. There was some polite back and forth before Mara said uphold single sex spaces.

Nicky floundered and mumbled about the matter affecting a tiny tiny minority. I’m sure I heard the panic in his voice as he desperately deployed platitudes, lest anyone accuse him of transphobia by association

She explained so clearly that men don't listen. Then he asked what can be done. She said protect women's single-sex spaces. He then basically didn't listen. Which she pointed out to him.

You can hear he was deeply uncomfortable & wanting it to be over by the end, meanwhile Mara's voice didn't even waver.

Depressing that Nicky Campbell referred to The Lancet in that Twitter exchange as support his response. I wonder if that (previously) esteemed journal would be as equally willing to publish a doctor expressing medical concerns about PB’s etc?

I was very impressed by her not being diverted.

And his attempt to divert was a good one. Totally related to the wider issue she was talking about.
Very likely to be something she had views on.
Raising that in response was clever, as on same area and so felt like a supportive question staying on her point and invitation to go into more.

I would have been diverted onto that for sure!
