This vile and insulting comment illustrates perfectly why Mridul Wadhwa is hopelessly unsuited to this position. As for the Guilty Fauxminist...words fail.

That guilty feminist Twitter thread is so weird. My ‘dad’ is not my ‘dad’ so when it comes to love I definitely don’t think biology trumps anything much, but that doesn’t make me think people can change sex. I don’t understand at all why she would think that’s equivalent or relevant. Genuinely baffled. How is it relevant?

And if they react (after rape) with fear towards someone they perceive to be male they are a bigot?

I think her cohost was non binary so I can see why she’d want to be supportive but there’s a massive different between supporting people you know and guilt tripping rape victims.

That Rape Crisis Scotland statement is quite something. I am genuinely angry about this gaslighting of vulnerable women. Where exactly is the campaign of misinformation when they themselves say this?!

Women only spaces are a core principle of the Rape Crisis movement and upheld through our National Service Standards (read these here). These spaces include women with a diverse range of lived experience and views, including trans women and girls.

I used to listen to the Guilty Feminist years ago. I can't listen to this. How did DFW respond on the show?

She backed it all up on her Twitter feed.

It does really show that words don't mean anything in Queer World, because DFW is not a Feminist by any definition I am aware of.

I do suspect she has been under a lot of pressure to go the last mile by the TRAs, only full capitulation and subservience is acceptable after all.

She's not quite yet there though.

The final stage will be defending throwing the 'bigoted cis women' out of the rape crisis centres and telling them they deserved to be raped for their bigotry.

I'm still staggered by the people who made MW CEO. Was it cowardice? Apathy? Lack of humanity?

DFW has been TWAW for years. She's said before that she believes this as she has trans friends. I don't think she has been targeted by TRAs

I feel like working in this area for some is simply a badge of honour for their CV. And narcissistic power play for others.

It's been borne out in surveys that when people have bothered to consult the actual women who use women's services rather than the CEOs and managers, the majority of women value female only space for recovery and mental well-being.

I volunteer at a homeless outreach. Some of our service users are high, some are violent, some hate women. And yet we don't "educate". That's not the brief. We give food, clothes, and practical help. We've had to temporarily exclude people from the premises due to behaviour that endangered us and other service users but it was always temporary. Welcome back as soon as they are no longer a danger.

I am flabbergasted that this individual sees giving help to vulnerable people at the most vulnerable time of their lives as nothing more than an opportunity to preach and convert, on pain of denying service. That is despicable. I don't approve of drugs (strong opinion there) but would never lecture a service user on their drug use. First, they have other priorities. Second, my opinions are irrelevant! It's not about me! Third, in what universe do you deny service to someone in need based on their beliefs.

The world has gone mad.

It struck me earlier that this woman's main interest in feminism is self interest, and the interests of her peers. She's exactly the kind of woman who works for Engender, Fawcett etc.
