It's like a sick joke. When I read it I thought of women on here who share their experiences, imagine saying to any of them "you really need to educate yourself because you are prejudice".

There's zero insight into the fact that they are replicating the behaviours of every facist dictatorship in history. Imaging hating women so much that you'd target women who have been raped for "re-education" into your preferred personal beliefs.

I wonder how the fragrant Mridul would have trans widows reframe their trauma? Presumably that it was perpetrated by a woman rather than a man.

That was me, I didn't see this one before I made it so I requested deletion.

There are all sorts of wrong about this. But can I just say this: some rape victims do orgasm. Whether it’s dissociation or a fear response it can happen and we shouldn’t be making rape victims who have experienced this feel ashamed.

I just felt it important to say this. My utter rage at the statement by Madhwa still stands. How fucking dare they lecture from a position they should not be occupying. That they believe they are in a position to ‘educate’ victims is appalling. That they are allowed and, in some quarters, encouraged to do so is fucking dystopian.

Mridul is apparently in favour of employing such controlling behaviour on rape victims.

I know readers of FWR are perfectly capable of drawing their own conclusions about people who think that's ok.

I'm disappointed at the way some commenters are describing other women in the comments including the usual shaming terms.

I feel ill.

Wadhwa knows that survivors are self-excluding because Rape Crisis Scotland has publicly condemned women who express their need for a female-only therapeutic environment.

And given what I know about Wadhwa's reactions to women talking about their trauma and Wadhwa's beliefs about female victims, I honestly cannot understand how anyone in RCS is not ashamed of having hired a male who has demonstrated several times a complete inability to understand female survivors to run one of its two biggest rape crisis centres.

I have never hated anyone in my life. Not even the men who attacked me. But the women running Rape Crisis Scotland right now who are supporting and promoting such woman-hating views are the closest I've ever come.

What a horrific betrayal.
