"Feel empowered... uplift and motivate... supporting the Campaign for Female Education" ... by buying a notebook with a load of women's arses in their knickers on the cover.

Slow handclap for @FromPaperchase t.co/WwyKpOqp17

Whaaaaaa?? They're all blokes.

ArabellaScott · 19/03/2021 22:06

Hahahaha! The arse is a symbol of empowerment for women! So it Is, you utter twits.

Gurufloof · 19/03/2021 22:10

Did they just assume the gender of all those bottoms? I mean cartoons are the preserve of a select group.

Deliriumoftheendless · 19/03/2021 22:11

Oh come on, the arse has been a strong symbol of empowerment for years! Don’t you remember when Martin Luther King jr and Malcolm X wore thongs for the civil rights movement? It was so moving. Brought a tear to many an eye.

bootlebum · 19/03/2021 22:13

UGH

What on earth are they thinking. Is this empowering? So powerful men have notebooks covered in male arses do they?

GNCQ · 19/03/2021 22:17

I don't know about getting outraged. It sort of made me laugh.
Bums.
(Giggles.)

aweegc · 19/03/2021 22:17

I don't know about you but after taking a look, I felt a whoosh of empowerment. Then I twerked. It boosted the empowerment feeling.

TheFnozwhowasmirage · 19/03/2021 22:24

I just showed it to nearly 16 year old DD2. She loves Paperchase. Her eyes rolled so much that I'm surprised that they didn't end up on the opposite side of the room.😂

Insertfunnyname · 19/03/2021 22:30

My husband is an empowered business man and he used a notebook full of mens’ bottoms. It makes him feel professional and successful.

Plus obviously who doesn’t like a nice male bottom to look at in their meeting.

FemaleAndLearning · 19/03/2021 22:30

Oh dear.

2020isnotbehaving · 19/03/2021 22:35

Can’t say staring at someone else ass has ever made me feel more empowered. You couldn’t use it at work or school
Or college without someone raising an eyebrow. Why else would you buy it. Sometimes I feel seriously old.

Tablegs · 19/03/2021 22:36

Oh dear me.

WTF were they thinking?

blacksax · 19/03/2021 22:40

£7 For that?

Hahahahahahahahaha. Nope.

ArabellaScott · 19/03/2021 22:41

Though she Be Butt Little she be Fierce

ChaToilLeam · 19/03/2021 22:45

It is truly pants.

Branleuse · 19/03/2021 22:46

Overthinking this. Its just pants

FamilyOfAliens · 19/03/2021 22:53

Thongs do have a habit of bringing a tear to many an eye, but probably not for the reasons you thought Grin
MsOgyny · 19/03/2021 22:55

@ArabellaScott Grin witty!

Honestly, the last time I went out in my pants I came home feeling definitely less respected, less empowered, and I was expelled from my place of education, so I was also losing out on my education for females. (Ok, I'm making it all up).

But WTH?! Pants?! Come ON paperchase. Don't tell our girls that being in just your pants is empowering. Stop playing into the hands of men. Give our girls a chance.

WarOnWomen · 19/03/2021 23:09

You lot are too funny.

Apparently they've had lots of positive feedback on the images. Oh yes, nothing like doubling down.

This image has become a symbol of female empowerment & recognised as such in this form, we are proud to be supportive of this. We have also seen similar themes elsewhere. We have received great feedback from customers at the positive message it drives.

WarOnWomen · 19/03/2021 23:14

Should I be offended that there are only white arses? Grin

Wrongsideofhistorymyarse · 19/03/2021 23:19

Female empowerment my arse

continuallyconflating · 19/03/2021 23:24

They can stick that thumb emoji in their reply right up their own arse

toffeebutterpopcorn · 19/03/2021 23:33

They had the boob one a couple of years back. I forget the ‘reason’ for that one though.

Gibbonsgibbonsgibbons · 19/03/2021 23:35

Didn’t they do a dodgy line of stationery for tweens covered in peaches & aubergines?

Nith · 19/03/2021 23:37

Is one of them wearing stockings and suspenders? If anything that's a symbol of near-total female disempowerment.
