he's on about the GRA reform, self-id, gender health services - whaattt

Has he accidentally found himself at the wrong debate? Confused

ArabellaScott · 01/03/2021 17:40

Oh, god, it's the SNP. Can I just apologise now on behalf of Scotland?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 01/03/2021 17:43

This isn't anything to do with MTF trans people, don't they get that?

gardenbird48 · 01/03/2021 17:44

Kirsten Oswald mentioned women lots of time and Pregnant and Screwed.

amendments 'interesting' - not convinced that the change is progress or progressive. Bill far too narrow, we are far less diverse in our provisions, doesn't make provision for all the other types of parental leave - not just for some new parents.

ArabellaScott · 01/03/2021 17:44

Any subject that doesn't include males just doesn't make any sense, I suppose.
Callmejudith · 01/03/2021 17:44

I've turned off Crispin. He is infuriating

Endofthelinefinally · 01/03/2021 17:44

She is doing ok so far.

ArabellaScott · 01/03/2021 17:44

Okay, Kirsten Oswald reasonable points so far.

gardenbird48 · 01/03/2021 17:44

KO - women have the bulk of caring responsiblilities, lowest payment rates for maternity leave etc etc - all sounds quite positive

Ereshkigalangcleg · 01/03/2021 17:45

trans people under full on attack. In 'the other place' (HoL) they make it sound like the other way round - 'full on attack on women's rights' Lord Lucas needs to turn the ball around and see what it is like from the other side (trans rights)

What fucking DARVO nonsense. Their "rights" don't consist of everything activists demand.

SantaNameChange · 01/03/2021 17:47

yippee - lib dem

gardenbird48 · 01/03/2021 17:47

Christine Jardine - profoundly disappointed in the amendments

ArabellaScott · 01/03/2021 17:47

Oh, Lib Dems straight in with disapointment over the amendments. What a surprise.

ArabellaScott · 01/03/2021 17:48

language that excludes any group is unacceptable

Endofthelinefinally · 01/03/2021 17:48

No sense of irony at all.

ArabellaScott · 01/03/2021 17:48

arguing in favour of gender neutral language

gardenbird48 · 01/03/2021 17:49

important piece of legislation is being sidetracked... (ie. by the amendments)

I don't believe the language is important. I am very proud to be a mother etc

Language that excludes or removes the rights of any group is unacceptable so gender neutral language should be used and does not erase anyone.

It does not undermine my rights blah blah

LizzieSiddal · 01/03/2021 17:49

Well as you're ok Christine Hmm

ArabellaScott · 01/03/2021 17:49

she is coming across as a total fanny, in the most gender-neutral way

SantaNameChange · 01/03/2021 17:49

It is so wrong to apply gender-neutral language to motherhood. Its crackers. The modern world has not replaced the reality of biology.

ArabellaScott · 01/03/2021 17:49

LGBT rights, trans minister

BaronessWrongCrowd · 01/03/2021 17:49

It's not about you, Christine.

Kit19 · 01/03/2021 17:50

I hope that Lib Dems are also adopting the sad face of you big meanies and the shaky head of beeee kiiind

OvaHere · 01/03/2021 17:50

Why do they keep talking about trans males? Nobody male is ever going to be pregnant. I know they mean trans females (trans men) but it makes zero sense.

Winesalot · 01/03/2021 17:51

Blunt is seriously pulling out all the 'far right' theories isn't he!
