I love this!

thevelvetchronicle.com/shiloh-jolie-pitt-and-the-ongoing-claims-of-gender-vultures/?fbclid=IwAR2OgqvBzIwcFz0xnNjRw4o1uxNTe8hGWeezvlGjOG0Fg3PXiie4WW_-NSw

Also in 2010, Jolie said, “I don’t think it’s for the world to interpret anything. She likes to dress like a boy and wants her hair cut like a boy and she wanted to be called ‘John’ for a while. Some kids wear capes and want to be Superman and she wants to be like her brothers. It’s who she is. It’s been a surprise to us and it’s really interesting, but she’s so much more than that – she’s funny and sweet and pretty. But she does love a tie…”

That's great.

BernardBlackMissesLangCleg · 16/01/2021 09:59

I rather love Angelina Jolie. She's mad as a box of frogs in some aspects of her life but I'm so pleased that she and Brad Pitt have taken such a sensible stance here.

but as for this

If the sharp talons of gender ideology haven’t alarmed you yet, this might do it—While Jolie and Pitt are perfectly content to have a creative daughter named Shiloh, a Google search of “Shiloh Jolie-Pitt” claims they have a “son,” and switches her name to “John.“

wtf - people get so over invested in the lives of celebrities, but this could actually harm a child. shocking.

wixked · 16/01/2021 10:13

Fab article. Just leave the kids alone and let them dress how they like.

ShirleyPhallus · 16/01/2021 10:29

And yet.....

Shiloh Jolie-Pitt: always a girl, doing her own thing.
MothsAreSadButterflies · 16/01/2021 10:30

She was a tomboy. Remember those.

tinselvestsparklepants · 16/01/2021 10:31

I doubt very much that the Jolie Pitts personally put up the details of their kids online. You don't know who did and with what agenda. I'd not take a google search result to mean much in this context.

CodenameVillanelle · 16/01/2021 10:32

The way the media have glommed onto this child and turned her into a transboy is disgusting.

trappedsincesundaymorn · 16/01/2021 10:37

Not a fan of the Jolie-Pitts but that article was brilliant.

ArabellaScott · 16/01/2021 10:39

commentators were shocked to see Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s daughter, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, wearing earrings, sporting longer hair and cut-off jean shorts. There were comments questioning if Shiloh is “a girl now” and asking if she’s no longer “a boy.”

Gender-vultures, indeed. Leave the child alone, ffs.

doublehalo · 16/01/2021 10:52

She dressed pretty much how every little lesbian would have loved to dress had they been allowed.

She wanted to look cool like her older brothers and her Dad and she definitely rocked that look with plenty of swag.

Whatwouldscullydo · 16/01/2021 10:52

They seemed to have some sense and let her just get on with it.

It was no big deal.

This whole re writing of history is nonsense. It took what 24 hours to change every mention of EP in to the other EP.

Far too many people obsessed and pouncing on any opportunities to project gender stuff on to a person.

Shes a kid. She should have just been left alone not made some unwilling mascot

Malahaha · 16/01/2021 10:53

The site thevelvetchronicle.com/ looks interesting as well -- it's a GC site and seems to be run by some great women:

Who we are:

The Velvet Chronicle is spearheaded by The Robertsons and inspired by all of the great women who fought before us. We are a harbor for young people, and a safe haven for those who are caught out in the storm. A place for warriors to draw inspiration. If you listen real close, you can almost hear Stormé DeLarverie give her famous call to arms — “Why don’t you do something!?” …So we did. And you can too.

There's so much of this going on. Kids being used to shape a narrative that suits adults. Another aspect of the safeguarding disaster that is gender ideology.

LizzieSiddal · 16/01/2021 11:08

It's great that Angelina has spoken out loud and clear, I expect she was very angry about the transing of her daughter.

Ritasueandbobtoo9 · 16/01/2021 11:11

What a gorgeous girl - those amazing genes shining through there!

HecatesCats · 16/01/2021 11:21

"Asking to be called John wasn’t an indication that Shiloh was a “boy.” Here are some other things that weren’t an indication: a preference for suits, stylish haircuts, liking “boy” clothes, colors, hobbies or interests, emulating her dad or her brothers."

She.Has.Always.Been.A.Girl.

Love this! Also so disturbed that a young teen has to deal with this crap online.

Half the people have nothing to do with any of it. The Internet seems to also be full of really needy people so desperate fir likes and approval they just throw themselves into writing posts and liking posts and correcting people with pronouns. Has nothing to do with trying to help anyone just fulfilling their own needs to be "liked"

Not even talking about tras here just alot of people in general. We have become so bloody needy that even our food is used ti gain attention. There seems to be no end in sight. No one can see the damage they are doing to any cause they just want those likes. So many attention seekers

Fwiw I don't think they even mean any harm its just not thought through. Social media /Internet use its just well impulsive.

Beamur · 16/01/2021 12:40

Sensible parenting of something a lot of kids go through as they figure themselves out.

SkeeterP · 16/01/2021 12:51

I remember a little girl I taught (a long time ago) who you would always find in the construction area in the classroom and on non-uniform day would come in dressed in a little suit and tie. I never once thought she was ‘trans’ ... only that she’d grow up and probably be an amazing engineer.

I think the Jolie-Pitts have this exactly right.

HerselfIndoors · 16/01/2021 14:19

This was me as a child. Luckily it was 40 years ago and I was a tomboy, not a "boy". I also had phases where I liked skirts and longer hair and guess what I'm still the same today. Female and enjoying all the cultural stuff I want to. I'm so happy Shiloh has not been pushed into anything, that's how it should be.

MummBraTheEverLeaking · 16/01/2021 14:23

Exactly. For some, all a little girl has to do is pick up a toy dinosaur and oh my god, a boy. I was a girl who liked rock music, wrestling, sci-fi, video games and skateboarding. Still a girl though. I'd have half the bloody internet transing me had it been around growing up. Hmm

Thank fuck it wasn't. I now have a daughter, nearly 3. I sure hope this sort of bollocks is firmly knocked on the head when she's older.

Totally agree about the need for likes, validation, it's like a generation of people pursuing the need for being affirmed and celebrated every step of the way. Never told no. Any time something is raised that makes them feel the slightest bit uncomfortable, or has them questioning themselves they completely go off on one. They're so fragile and blinkered, they have no resilience, it's not good to see Sad

SebastianTheCrab · 16/01/2021 14:47

Holly Branson put up an Insta message last year basically saying exactly the same thing - that she dressed only in boys clothes until she was about 10/11. She now has three kids which, if the gender vultures had gotten their claws into her back then, she wouldn't have been able to - yknow, after they brainwash her into slicing off her breasts, removing her womb and taking sterilising hormones.

TrashedWarrior · 16/01/2021 14:51

A friend's daughter always went to weddings in a suit.

Definitely a girl.

Always had long hair though.

mumnowformerrockstar · 16/01/2021 14:52

I haven't seen pics of her in a long time. She was such a beautiful toddler.
