Ffs I am so sick of this agenda-heavy lobby group and their war against women's rights!

(Note that they are controlling who can reply to them too.)

“We are asking rugby clubs at all levels of the game to stand with us against a ruling that is exclusionary and that will impact some of the most vulnerable people in the community”.

I know. Severe injury and death. That’s what we have to argue about here. Ridiculous. Because when it was a threat to white boys, from brown boys, they came up with a solution that was a disadvantage to one group and protective of another. No complaints from anyone, it was all about safety.

BatShite · 26/08/2020 20:29

It got me thinking. And as I mentioned previously, I figured clubs might not separate out this data as it would be considered transphobic.

Same case as female areas. Its transphobic t report attacks by peope claiming the trans label. It must be put in stats as a woman on woman attack. Even in crime stats, it was a female apparently.

So they demand stats for male people attacking female in female areas, and there is none, as its transphobic to record this, because they screamed bigot at anyone who tired to..so no record, means no problem. Magic!

BatShite · 26/08/2020 21:01

That equality means we are happy to play with males as we are as good as them and this serves us right.

I really hate when that arguement gets made. You got what you wanted..you wanted everything equal, men in womens sport is equal, you are just as good, no?!?!?!?!?! Men are stronger than women on average?!?!?! Feminism is clearly bollocks then as thats what they all say, that both are the same!!!!!!1111

Purposely misunderstanding the actual argument of course.

Igneococcus · 27/08/2020 06:14

Janice Turner talks about this today in her column in the Times:

EdgeOfACoin · 27/08/2020 07:13

I really appreciate journalists like Janice Turner speaking out on these issues.

MillyMollyFarmer · 27/08/2020 08:01

Yes I much prefer Julia’s writing on it than Brian Moore’s.

PearPickingPorky · 27/08/2020 17:55

Beetles, Tommy Lundberg, Ross Tucker and Jon Pike (from the World Rugby summit) are putting in an unbelievable shift on twitter today with some really quite ridiculous people.

Winesalot · 27/08/2020 18:00

I have watched Ross Tucker get rather pointed in his tweets over the past day with this group. And yet, he has persisted.

Oh and the twit that used 'Beetles' to denigrate Dr Hilton's work was a classic. Like she was not even worthy of naming. Outstanding sexism there.

PearPickingPorky · 27/08/2020 18:05

Ross Tucker came onto my radar a few years ago as someone who kept saying women should 'be kind' and inclusive in sport. It's been wonderful to watch the change in him! Grin

MitziK · 27/08/2020 18:27

@Aesopfable

Cuculus canorus would be a good symbol for stonewall.
I'm thinking more of Lanius excubitor, myself.
MillyMollyFarmer · 27/08/2020 18:28

He still thinks we should be kind and inclusive, just not in rugby or other contact sports. That’s it.

Roswellconspiracy · 27/08/2020 18:30

I see one of our favourite commentor is at it again. And is also again oblivious to the fact that pushing to block puberty so women stop worrying about advantages and safety actaully prives they realise ther are advantages and dangers.Hmm

MillyMollyFarmer · 27/08/2020 18:56

It’s actually hilarious watching TRA’s argue with the scientists involved in this, there’s even one calling Tucker racist for mentioning Kenyan women runners and how good they are. I love that he gets quite blunt and calls them out for their ad hominem and shifting of goal posts. Dr Hilton is incredibly patient despite such stupidity and misogyny thrown at her by anonymous accounts.

MillyMollyFarmer · 27/08/2020 19:02

One of the arguments is so dumb. They’ve had to repeatedly try and explain why the trans women aren’t dominating elite sports across the board. Pre transition they are mediocre men in their local park runs and shit like that. Then they go from that to competing with elite women, not necessarily winning but how could they when they’ve jumped from local event to the flipping Olympics. The fact they’ve made the jump in levels like that is unheard of for anyone, especially anyone over 20, you don’t get that much better!

MichelleofzeResistance · 27/08/2020 19:39

I really hate when that argument gets made. You got what you wanted..you wanted everything equal

Oh me too.

It basically translates to a smug 'see what happens to silly girls who get out of their box?' with a side order of 'who's sorry now?'

AyeRobot · 27/08/2020 19:45

It should always have been a "NO" and a call for evidence to the likes of Stonewall. As it should have been in all other areas where men want access to women's spaces.

MillyMollyFarmer · 27/08/2020 20:09

It should always have been a "NO" and a call for evidence to the likes of Stonewall

^ this. Its terrible they’ve done this after the fact. It’s been done the wrong way round

Roswellconspiracy · 27/08/2020 20:32

It should always have been a "NO" and a call for evidence to the likes of Stonewall. As it should have been in all other areas where men want access to women's spaces

And now they act surprised that the fact no one has said no , has led to the most ridiculous outcomes. As if it wasn't a completely logical result of not setting boundries.

Some of these things should have heen made very clear from the very start.

Human beings are greedy. Give an inch they will take a mile.

No one has taken responsibility for setting limits and has passed it around like a hot potato.

Its time some of these people were held accountable

PearPickingPorky · 28/08/2020 12:03

He still thinks we should be kind and inclusive, just not in rugby or other contact sports. That’s it.

I have queried this with him recently and, in his defence, he said he's not opposed to women making their arguments as to why other spaces should also be sex-segregated and they should be listened to, he's just 'staying in his lane as it were, and keeping his argument to be about sport as that's his expertise.

MillyMollyFarmer · 28/08/2020 12:06

That is fair enough. But he did say he hates that his research is being used to call people cheats etc except that’s what they are mate, it’s a form of cheating akin to doping, the impact being the same. Any suggestion nasty women are misusing the science gets my back up

mummmy2017 · 28/08/2020 12:20

We have the Paralympics.
Time for Trans sports.
A place for Trans to enjoy their safe place

Winesalot · 28/08/2020 13:12

From the bordering on snide retorts that Ross Tucker has been making in the past few days about the inanity that is passing for debate points of view, I think that he is now in full understanding that people would be happy to play against women knowing full well that they are in fact 'cheating'.

I qualify this as saying 'cheating' in that they were mediocre athletes in their own sex category who then excelled as 'females'. Which as he continues to point out is unfair. He has used some excellent logic to show this.

However, it still comes down to no trans specific rugby data (well..... shutting down studies will do that).

Oh. And he is allegedly a big bigot for refusing to acknowledge the emotional effect it has on players to not be able to play as their new sex. And has a phobic bias (and so does science and logic).

MillyMollyFarmer · 28/08/2020 16:57

Oh it’s hilarious watching him try and remain calm with these idiots just rambling nonsense at him and not being smart enough to understand anything really at all. Funnily enough I’ve never seen Dan Leo being called a bigot. He’s Samoan so completely used to Fa’afafine so he’s a different target.

MillyMollyFarmer · 28/08/2020 16:58

Ross Tucker was called racist the other day for acknowledging the long-standing dominance of Kenyan women in running. What the actual heck.

yourhairiswinterfire · 28/08/2020 17:06

Ross Tucker was called racist the other day for acknowledging the long-standing dominance of Kenyan women in running. What the actual heck.

They'll thrown any old accusation at anyone in a futile attempt to discredit them. They know their ship is sinking. What we're seeing is a desperate grasping at straws as the lies their ideology are built on are unravelled.
