Twitter has suspended me

I'm really sorry to barge in on you Mumsnettters with my problems, but
I've been finally suspended from Twitter and I have a feeling they're either going to ban me or just take my verified tick. I've submitted an appeal with Twitter and the Better Business Bureau but I thought I'd post here too so people knew what was going on.

Recently, I keep being locked out of my account and forced to delete tweets to get back in. The latest tactic by trans rights activists is to run a search for any time I've used the word 'groomer', a phrase Twitter recently decided was Not Allowed.

This was not a violation of Twitter's ToS at the time I used the phrase, and I have been careful to avoid it since. I still use the word 'grooming' in various permutations because I believe that gender ideology is a form of societal grooming. It is a very real threat to the wellbeing of women and children and if our ability to name a threat is removed, it is even more difficult to fight that threat.

You may remember that Twitter similarly removed Canadian feminist Meghan Murphy. She lost her account when she said "that's him" about 'Jessica' Yaniv. Bear in mind that Yaniv was still going under 'Jonathan' at the time, and just as in my case, her crime against Twitter's Terms of Service was not actually an offence at the time she committed it. She probably never thought she could be banned from the public square for uttering the words "that's him". But that's Twitter.

Twitter has a high percentage of trans-identified employees and for some time has been silencing feminists and their allies who run afoul of its absurd 'misgendering' policies. The one good thing about my situation is that I'm in great company--Claire Graham, Meghan Murphy, Skylar Gwynn, Miranda Yardley, GNC Centric and many more, important feminist and critical voices who have been silenced for fighting a dangerous ideology that tells children it's possible to be born into the wrong body.

Anyway, that's what's happening. Please let people know it's entirely down to malicious reporting from the usual suspects and please keep watching my YouTube Channel and visiting my depressing blog. I'll also be available on Glindr if people from Twitter want to re-establish contact there. Hope it's ok to post these links to those destinations

Educate yourself

As soon as anyone does, they don’t suddenly have an epiphany and say “oh you’re right! Humans CAN change sex!”

“Educate yourself” is shooting yourself in the foot TRAs, because it just means we see the real you when we look hard enough.

I am really quite upset about this, I haven't RTFT as I missed it all kicking off (asleep!) If Graham reads these comments, I just wanted to say that his activism brought the whole issue of trans rights and "No debate" to my attention, thanks to a chance Google search about Father Ted which rather alarmingly returned all sorts of "Linehan is a transphobic bigot" entries. This then led me to this board, and to feminists like Jane Clare Jones, and the rabbit hole we all know so well. So thanks Graham, I know you annoyed a few people along the way but you woke a canny few up as well

Firstly, I'm right: they're not!

And secondly, Twitter is a stinking cesspit of misogyny.

They invited me to take down my Tweet and I would be welcomed back. You can probably imagine what I told them.

I know the some of the screenshots on twitter were gleeful BUT it’ll have brought more traffic to the thread. While the “suck on my dick” crew meant that Glinner didn’t immediately get the support he deserved there’s going to be a whole heap of lurkers who have learned why women and girls need their single sex spaces supported.

I roll my eyes to the extreme when you are held up as our great leader. I feel it shows up how a poster does not believe women can think, organise and speak for themselves. If a man is vocal he must be the great leader the little ladies follow rather than just a nice bloke who is willing speak the truth alongside the women.

I hope that your Twitter death will bring more sunlight so that more of the lazy politicians, celebrities and journalists realise it does not reflect real public opinion at all and thus abandon it as a meaningful source.

Btw, I have recently introduced my teenagers to Black Books, which they find hilarious. I do hope you get royalties from our viewing habits.

I did notice Ben and Jerry’s stating that Trump should be banned from Facebook/Twitter in order to protect democracy. Because censorship is a particularly important part of democracy.

(I suspect it would work in Trumps favour if he was banned)

Can we please, PLEASE not delete posts by trolls, just make them poo-coloured? I'm actually serious about this. I know the first time I suggested it (years ago) it was a bit of a joke, but as time goes by I feel more and more strongly that this MN should take this path.

Polite request - if you claim transphobia or say a poster has done something, you bring the screenshots. Don't tell others to find them. Otherwise people may think you're talking bollocks. Quite literally.

The truth, as all GC women and men know, is that simply not agreeing with and bowing to every demand of TRAs is "transphobic". Especially when they issue the vilest abuse, threaten women (not men, strangely) with appalling, usually sexualised violence and we maintain our stance - that is "transphobic".

I actually like Twitter's current approach to Trump tweets, putting up some counters to his most batshit lies.
