Anyone can click on the link to the thread and find the post that PN are so angry about and read it for themselves.
Do they really think their readership are that stupid?
They don’t care! They need the hyperbolic inflammatory, complete lie of a headline to get the clicks! They know most people won’t even read the whole article, let alone follow links or verify the assertions via independent research.
The truly awful thing is headlines like that are detrimental to the mental health of the people in the community they are supposed to serve.
My 13 year old stepdaughter and her LGBT mates are constantly sharing Pink News fear-pieces on their insta stories (such as all that bollox about ‘Pridefall’). They have no way to put it into context and are genuinely scared that a Mumsnetter might try and ‘crucify’ them! Yes, marginalisation and discrimination still exists, but not to the point that you cannot walk around outside safely in the U.K. in 2020.
These ‘journalists’ should be ashamed of themselves. As should all the orgs that have deliberately inflated ‘hate crime’ reports in order to get additional political leverage.
They are fucking up young lives.
