The ever entertaining TRA power couple Fox and Owl were apparently represented by the same agents as the wonderful Ms Rowling.

They, along with some bloke called Drew Davies, have severed ties because the agents refused to issue a public statement slagging off their biggest client.

Being bastions of professionalism they left by telling the guardian.

The Daily Mail!

They had plenty of the type of article he is refering to earlier in the week.

Thanks Keto, found it.

Andrew Doyle is the creator of Titania McGrath
a fictional 24-year-old "radical intersectionalist poet committed to feminism, social justice and armed peaceful protest" who identifies as non-binary, "polyracial" and ecosexual.
He named her after the Queen of the Fairies because he thinks the Woke are utter fantasists
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Titania_McGrath

He also created Jonathan Pie

He's very very funny

SirSamuelVimesBlackboardMonito · 28/06/2020 10:49

Hadn't realised he was Titania!

Every day's a school day!

KetoWinnie · 28/06/2020 11:54

Wow! Well hopefully it signals the dogs called off JK

ScrimpshawTheSecond · 28/06/2020 11:56

Hm, I googled for Andrew Doyle's DM article, started reading it, and then got a sudden crash and a message from my anti-virus that it had aborted a threat. Has somebody hacked the page?

Helmetbymidnight · 28/06/2020 11:58

what? he's titania AND pie?!

i did not know that.

ScrimpshawTheSecond · 28/06/2020 12:22

It was working - I opened the article and started reading. But then my antivirus forced it shut - yes, it's done it again. Just exercise caution. It says 'fake comments' - I can't take a screenshot of the warning message but it's coming up on AVG/Firefox.

Helmetbymidnight · 28/06/2020 12:25

my pc has broken(?) it is a coincidence, isnt it?

BoreOfWhabylon · 28/06/2020 12:26

That's odd Scrimpshaw. Is ok on my ipad.

Lamahaha · 28/06/2020 12:31

He created Jonathon Pie? You mean he IS Jonathon Pie?
I don't understand! Is he an actor playing a character called J Pie???

Lamahaha · 28/06/2020 12:33

The article is fine on my laptop. I use Chrome/McAfee

donquixotedelamancha · 28/06/2020 12:41

I don't understand! Is he an actor playing a character called J Pie?

No. That is Tom Walker who created and plays the character.

Doyle has worked on a number of scripts with Walker.

I don't know, maybe my antivirus software is being overzealous. I am guessing ipads/macs generally aren't as open to this type of hacking, but I'm far from knowledgeable on the subject.

chilling19 · 28/06/2020 13:53

The mail has been hacked with some kind of spam code. All I get is a dodgy looking ad for vodaphone. This has been the case for at least a couple of hours.

Igneococcus · 28/06/2020 13:58

I get a site claiming to be BT saying I'm one of 10 customers with a chance to win an iPhone, yeah right.

LillianBland · 28/06/2020 16:42

I was getting that when I tried reading the DM comments too, but it has stopped now. That’s the one that spams Mumsnet too, sometimes, though it hasn’t for a while.
LillianBland · 28/06/2020 16:44

Anyway, those comments are 100% behind that article. For the ‘wrong side of history’, it’s starting to get pretty packed. 😁
