Just wondering if anyone's seen this on Twitter. Quite a funny, interesting thread, eg

#AskDanielRadcliffe When was the last time you showed solidarity with trans activists by dating a trans woman, and what steps are you taking to unlearn your genital preferences?

Is the first one that showed up when I clicked. Sorry if it's old news.

Can I also just say erish that your actual lives experience of nearly dying due to actual biology is NOTHING on the feelz.

littlbrowndog · 15/06/2020 23:15

Would you prefer to be known as an ejaculator, semen producer or perhaps something a little more street, for example spunk punk?

Looks like smile has fucked off

Oops. I hope smile hasn’t gone over to Lipstick Alley to tell their members off too!

They are fabulously frank, take-no-shit women unrestricted by Mumsnet’s tight moderation rules tho, so smile should prepare the smelling salts first.

CoffeeTeaChocolate · 15/06/2020 23:15

I am so confused... so if you are feminist, you are not supporting BLM?

And if TRA’s are making rape threats to JK, that is somehow definitely the fault of feminists if Daniel Radcliffe’s name is mentioned in the same tweet?

And discussing female anatomy is disgusting? I am so sorry, should I talk about lipstick and pillow fights?

The only thing I know for sure is that we were never ruled by giant lizards. I have read that the fossils were put under ground by aliens just for a joke.

Thank you littl and Jemima and everyone ❤️

No sympathy vote, I just thought it would be a good question to #AskDanielRadcliffe

Before that hashtag was taken over by the dicks, there were actually many poignant posts - many sarcastic and satirical, but many poignant about women's unique experiences.

Perimenopause, periods, pregnancy, childbirth, miscarriage, breastfeeding, sexual abuse.

Well, I will NOT be told that to talk about these female experiences is 'transphobic'. No sir. You can take your dick pics, and your misogynistic abuse, and park it well away from WOMEN.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 15/06/2020 23:17

I know. Just another example of cis privilege.

littlbrowndog · 15/06/2020 23:17

Erish 🥰🥰

Itsmemaggie · 15/06/2020 23:22

The hashtag mostly made me laugh, lots of questions about women’s ‘issues’ interspersed with the odd question about DIY.

The responses from young women about how transphobic these tweets were make me despair though. Women talking about uniquely female experiences derided for not considering the feelings of men. I’m not even sure where to go with those who are crying hypocrisy about none of these questions being sent to Emma Watson or Evanna Lynch....

IagoWithABlackberry · 15/06/2020 23:24

I consider myself a reasonably intelligent person but I have completely and utterly confused myself reading the last eight pages. I've somehow become a racist worshipping at the altar of the far right...

I mean, I'll try anything once. I just had no idea it was so easy- turns out all I had to do was agree with JK Rowling!

FantaOra · 15/06/2020 23:28

Oops. I hope smile hasn’t gone over to Lipstick Alley to tell their members off too!

I did think that when you posted the link. He will announce himself with a patronising post about how he advocates for BAME, not like the horrid white women who worship JKR and he won't know what's hit him!

Actually he was probably worn out and needed tucking in with some cocoa. In the dementia ward.

littlbrowndog · 15/06/2020 23:29

More than 200 million girls andwomenalive today have had their genitals cut in 30 countries inAfrica, the Middle East and Asia. Is that what female privilege leads to? #AskDanielRadcliffe

JemimaShore · 15/06/2020 23:29

Yup - That's transactvists for you. Gaslighting fuckers. Some of them. A lot of them ime.

Stuff rape jokes? No feministing during pride? Being white is transphobic? Some trans people are black and that's somehow relevent to Dan's dating preferences? This thread is a fucking mess 😂

I believe women should be able to talk about their rights, and their biology, at any time. Don't you agree, Smile ?

Smile, have you been off to the bogs for a line of coke to keep you going? Good chap.

IagoWithABlackberry · 15/06/2020 23:39

I might be wrong about this, smile but I'm pretty sure there isn't finite space on Twitter. BLM and Gay Pride can go on as they were, no one's stopping them.

Cismyfatarse1 · 15/06/2020 23:43

The # is a thing of wonder. Some extraordinary questions that made me snigger and some which are gut wrenching in the way they highlight the issues for us as women.

IagoWithABlackberry · 15/06/2020 23:43

What exactly has Daniel Radcliffe offered in research to this area? Jack shit, as far as I'm aware. Yet, he is as entitled to his opinion as anybody else, including JK Rowling, whom I happen to agree with in this instance.
Is that alright with you?

JemimaShore · 15/06/2020 23:44

Sorry, Smile - you misunderstood me. I believe that ANY woman should be able to talk about women's rights, at any time. Don't you agree?

ByGrabtharsHammerWhatASavings · 15/06/2020 23:44

"White hetero female and rich"

3 of these things confer privaledge. 1 of these things confers disadvantage. JKR can speak from her position within a disadvantaged group on the disadvantage she has faced as a member of that group. Her place in that group is not negated by her privaledge in other areas. Surely as someone who has followed the BLM conversation closely you understand how intersections of privaledge and disadvantage work?

ByGrabtharsHammerWhatASavings · 15/06/2020 23:47

Also, delighted to have found Lipstick Alley off the back of this thread. How wonderful to find such a huge community of BAME women that are Gender Critical. There's even a whole thread on there applauding the #askDan joke. Great stuff. Why not head on over smile and accuse them all of being white feminists.
