Lots of people back pedalling slightly because there is nothing to be said other than that it is horrific. Outpouring of more virtue signalling.

OJ has slammed it but has disabled replies from those outside his echo chamber so people can't tell him what a bloody hypocrite he is.

Did I interpret that correctly??

That appears to be what she thinks. Yes.

Kit19 · 12/06/2020 09:03

Poor old jameela - still trying to recover ground from coming out as ‘queer’ in an attempt to justify her place on whatever the hell that th show was as opposed to being a true ally and supporting somone who was lgbt

She’s so dense light bends round her

Gncq · 12/06/2020 09:04

State of those Tweets

Michelleoftheresistance · 12/06/2020 09:05

The howls of rage that the spotlight and sympathy is being shared with a female centric view....

Of course the activist political lobby have shared many stories of their distress and trauma and struggles. This has had a huge impact on gaining a view of their vulnerability as a community and inspiring sympathy and support. In fact it's been one of the main pillars of their campaigning. It's very interesting how they find it objectionable when someone not of their group does the same to illustrate their own distress and trauma and demonstrate the challenges faced by that community, and call this unfair and manipulative. But not when they do it.

So when people born male do it, it's ok.

When people born female do it, it's evil and naughty.

So it's down to the privilege of being born with a bloody penis again, isn't it? What's that called, I remember the phrase vaguely....

Beerincomechampagnetastes · 12/06/2020 09:06

Jameela’s ignorance truly astonishes me. How does she make it through the day, how does she manage to lead a relatively successful life carrying around such stupidity?

LouHotel · 12/06/2020 09:08

Blind hot anger over those tweets from Jameela, I don't know how to process that inner hate she has for her own sex.

NotBadConsidering · 12/06/2020 09:09

Did I interpret that correctly??

Yep, that’s how I interpreted it too.

ItsLateHumpty · 12/06/2020 09:11

Re Jameela Jamil's supremely shitty and misogynistic hot take on all this. We’ve already achieved rule 10 (thanks TehBewilderness)

10th rule of misogyny: The worst thing about male violence is that it makes men look bad.

JJ has probably just invoked the rest all by herself. Level Arse Unlocked. Slow handclap.

Beerincomechampagnetastes · 12/06/2020 09:12

I’m actually at the point with Jameela that I’m quite concerned for her wellbeing.

twoHopes · 12/06/2020 09:15

Bloody hell Jameela Jamil is plumbing new depths with this one. So we're now blaming JK Rowling and GC feminists for the "actual rape" of transwomen?

My only hope is that the more MRA bilge that is spouted, the more people will wake up to what's going on. If not then we really are screwed.

Slapdasherie · 12/06/2020 09:17

@LouHotel

Not only are outspoken women responsible for the violence done to them, they are also responsible for the violence done to others, ie trans women.

“They are our responsibility”

Fuck off, Jamila.

Women aren’t support humans for everyone else, nor human shields.

Aesopfable · 12/06/2020 09:18

But all those supporting the threats of violence against JKR have done exactly the same as JJ. It is just slightly more blatant that what Danial Radcliffe wrote.

MoltenLasagne · 12/06/2020 09:21

1st rule of misogyny: Women are responsible for what men do.
2nd rule of misogyny: Women saying no to men is a hate crime.
3rd rule of misogyny: Women speaking for themselves are exclusionary and selfish.
4th rule of misogyny: Women's opinions are violence against men thus male violence against women is justified.
5th rule of misogyny: WATM! Women and Feminism must be useful to men or they are worthless.
6th rule of misogyny: Women who go around being female AT men by menstruating and breast feeding babies deserve punishment.
7th rule of misogyny: Women should always be grateful to men for everything.
8th rule of misogyny: Men are whatever men say they are and women are whatever men say they are.
9th rule of misogyny: Men always know the "real reasons" for everything women do and say.
10th rule of misogyny: The worst thing about male violence is that it males men look bad.
11th rule of misogyny: Basic pattern recognition skills are cruel and evil when they hurt men's feelings.
12th rule of misogyny: whatever women suffer from, men suffer from more.
13th rule of misogyny: Women are not oppressed! Rape and catcalling and objectification are all compliments, not oppression.
14th rule of misogyny: Women have all the rights they need: The right to remain silent.

So referring to Bewilderness's rules of misogyny I'd say Jameela has nicely covered rules 1-4 and 8-14 and you could probably make an argument for the rest of them. That's pretty impressive work for someone who likes to call herself a feminist.

RedToothBrush · 12/06/2020 09:21

Defend your own safety women? No. That's encitement.

Take one for the team women. That way trans women can live happy healthy lives in safety.

Oh wait. What?

Michelleoftheresistance · 12/06/2020 09:21

I agree, Aesop

Emma Watson has by her actions essentially said she supports the choking of JKR on 'girl dick'. She needs to own that. So does Radcliffe and the other so woke they're hallucinating lot. This is the violent, misogynistic insanity they are standing behind. And as JJ is demonstrating, its very nasty, unbalanced stuff.

Enderthedragon · 12/06/2020 09:21

I'm absolutely open mouthed fuming at Jameela's tweets. Christ, she really has been studying the 'Rules of Misogyny' textbook hasn't she? First and foremost:

Women are responsible for what men do.

I literally cannot believe she has written it! It's kind of horrifyingly fascinating to watch in a way?

There is no length this women won't reach to in order to gain this elusive everlasting approval from.... Well I don't even know at this point to be honest!

In her 3 tweets did she use more or less characters than are in bewilderness's rules?

I'd just like to appreciate her literary work in full here.

RedToothBrush · 12/06/2020 09:26

Is she saying JKR is transphobic AND racist?

MingeofDeath · 12/06/2020 09:28

She’s so dense light bends round her

I love this

NotBadConsidering · 12/06/2020 09:28

Fuck me, it gets worse.

Weaponise? Seriously? Angry

Rowling disclosed her past experiences to show empathy with women who would feel vulnerable. It had nothing to do with trans FFS.

twoHopes · 12/06/2020 09:28

I'm currently screenshotting all of these JJ tweets and sending them around to the women I know.

ScrimpshawTheSecond · 12/06/2020 09:28

Holy fuck Jameela. Holy fucking fuck.

ForgotAboutThis · 12/06/2020 09:29

I am agog. JJ plumbs new depths.

RedToothBrush · 12/06/2020 09:30

Omg the lack of self awareness?!

Been nearly killed by domestic abuse? Don't talk about it as that's weaponising it. Traumatised? Don't be so transphobic bigot. Just think of the poor transpeople who have endured so much worse and then have to put up with your insensitive recollections of your own past. Your life experience is irrelevant and not as important as theirs.
