I grew up with Harry Potter and her work has meant so much to me, she is such an inspiration to me, and the fact that she has spoken out to protect the rights of women, of my daughters, means the world to me.
Mumsnet and the wonderful Feminist Chat posters were mentioned too, of course, I hope she knows just how many people are with her.

I’ve just sent an email which, like someone else said, made me tear up. I will send a card tomorrow. Thank you so much for this thread. I’d be wanting to show solidarity with her and not knowing how. This has made me feel a lot better.

Also, I love Sam Vimes, my fav Discworld character (he got a cheeky mention in an episode of Endeavour 💞)

Thanks for starting this thread. I have written a card and am about to put it in the post. I hope she gets to see it or at least hear that she is getting notes of appreciation.

This whole furore has shone a light on the charities to which she's donated and the people she has indirectly helped over the years. If only more used their wealth like this. She seems like a wonderful person.

I just picked up the four Robert Galbraiths from my local bookshop as well. Isn't much but the more money she has, the more freedom she has to say, stop, this is wrong.

Emailed her last week and got a nice reply from one of her office staff, I presume.

Just written a card, too, and will post later.

Just explained to my other half what the card in my hands was for.

After a moment he fished in his wallet and gave me his last first class stamp.

That’s a great site, thank you. It’s given me some great gift ideas. This one struck a cord with me and I immediately thought of JK and the reaction to her nearly speaking the truth.
