You can send JKR a card or letter of support by posting them to this address:

J.K. Rowling
c/o Bloomsbury Publishing PLC
50 Bedford Square
London WC1B 3DP
United Kingdom

It would be wonderful to see her inundated with personal messages of support. Mine's in the post.

I've had a response back too. Hope it goes some way towards making up for the vileness and misogyny online

LouHotel · 09/06/2020 21:23

Got a lovely response, clearly her house elves are busy tonight.

Babyboomtastic · 09/06/2020 21:29

Have emailed also.

Redshoeblueshoe · 09/06/2020 21:35

Thanks for the address. If the elves are very busy I'm sure she'll give them a big bonus Gin

grafittiartist · 09/06/2020 21:39

Thank you- I was wondering how to do this.

Botsy · 09/06/2020 21:45

Just emailed, thanks for the address

ScrimpshawTheSecond · 09/06/2020 21:46

Thank you. Great idea.

YogaNChocolate · 09/06/2020 21:50

I’m off to bed now but will email her tomorrow. Great idea, thank you!

youkiddingme · 09/06/2020 22:15

Thank you very much. Will get on this tomorrow.

TitianaTitsling · 09/06/2020 22:20

Emailed and will send a card tomorrow

Onebigfoot · 09/06/2020 22:23

Thanks for posting the address, I was thinking of popping a card with a message of support in the post.

KenDodd · 09/06/2020 22:26

Thanks op

TitianaTitsling · 09/06/2020 22:52

I've had a thank you email already, doesn't read like an auto reply, - couldn't be could it as my email could have been a torrent of hate, and actually used my name to address me not email which is nothing like my actual name! I expect her office working over time! #istandwithjk

TitianaTitsling · 09/06/2020 22:56

Fuck me, am actually getting quite emotional about it! From discovering JK in my early teens to starting to read to my own children, her books have been a beacon AGAINST prejudice and shitty segregation and people that can't see that I despair.

TitianaTitsling · 09/06/2020 22:59

And just to add I feel Daniel Radcliffe is an absolute arsehole who has behaved like a rat on a sinking ship to gain wokey blokey points in a desperate attempt to remain current. If you and the rest of the cast hate her that much clearly you won't want any of the 'tainted" money anymore?

FaceOfASpink · 09/06/2020 23:03

I'll send a card tomorrow. Thanks for posting the address.

SilverLetters · 09/06/2020 23:19

Thanks for this - will find a nice card and get it sent off.

By coincidence my 2 year old DD has discovered Harry Potter this week and keeps declaring that it's "brilliant!" Grin

Mylittlepony374 · 09/06/2020 23:20

Thanks. I've emailed, will send a card also.

Nothappy599 · 09/06/2020 23:29

Lurker coming out.
Sending a card.

SirSamuelVimesBlackboardMonito · 09/06/2020 23:32

Thanks, I was wondering about this. I've sent an email (and had a lovely reply) but I will send something physical in the post too.

I wonder if I could get an interflora delivery?

Shedbuilder · 09/06/2020 23:41

As far as I'm aware JKR lives in Scotland and the contact address is her publisher in London, so unless you know where she lives (obviously don't publicise it) I imagine a card or letter is the best thing.

AskingforaBaskin · 09/06/2020 23:42

I'm a bit cynical but I worry that it's obviously not her opening and reading these. It will be an assistant. And ever since that MN staff member fiasco what if someone with opposing views get ahold of our details and leaks them.

SirSamuelVimesBlackboardMonito · 09/06/2020 23:45

It's going to be one of a fairly large team of assistants. However, courage calls to courage, and if she can say this in her name, I will say thank you in mine.

Obviously I know that anything sent to the publisher won't make it's way to her, I'm just thinking of visual impact. Especially if loads of us send flowers... Flowers

FannyCann · 09/06/2020 23:47

I hope they manage to find all the nice ones in the heap of awful ones she is bound to get.

There may be an excess of hate on twitter but I doubt many of the keyboard wokerati can be arsed to actually write a letter, buy a stamp and post it.

So I'm sure a pile of physical cards will make a wonderful statement and be much appreciated.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 09/06/2020 23:51

I was planning to send an old fashioned letter but I wonder if postcards would be easier for the team receiving them to deal with?
