This has appeared on Twitter, I'm not sure of the background but suspect it's a response to the Labour Women's Declaration

twitter.com/labour_trans/status/1226939313264394241?s=21

It will be interesting to see how Labour handles this one.

Now endorsed by Angela Rayner. WTAF!

Feels like literally everything Labour does recently adds another couple of years to their likely electoral wilderness tally.

Alexa, what’s the advice for when lost in the wilderness?

Use the STOP Method:

(S) Stay Calm: Panic is your worst enemy, so take a few deep breaths to calm down. The last thing you should do is hurry off in a haphazard direction, as this may add to your anxiety.

(T) Think: Were you traveling in a straight line or were there a lot of twists and turns? Did you pass any familiar spots or other people? Were you traveling north, south, east, or west? Try to answer these questions, as any bit of information can be useful.

(O) Observe: Can you determine which direction is north? How long will your food and water last? Can you see any obvious landmarks? Do you see any footprints, and if so, in which direction are they headed? Try to find any clue that might help to lead you back to your original footpath.

(P) Plan: Determine which direction you should walk – but do so with caution. Mark your progression with rocks, cairns, or piles of sticks. If you don’t find your way, you can always return to the point where you first realized you were lost.

What a nasty little piece of fifth-rate Stalinism.

Note the appropriation and deliberate mis-use of the term, 'material reality.'

Kantastic · 11/02/2020 12:29

This song goes through my head every time i hear any news about the Labour Party lately.

Also this thought: if this is how badly they've fucked up losing, how badly would they have fucked up winning? Imagine this shambles being our government.

Making me grateful for Boris Johnson is not the least of their crimes.

Mockersisrightasusual · 11/02/2020 12:32

Labour Party makes me think of this song:

wrongsideofhistorymyarse · 11/02/2020 12:44

5. Accept that there is no material conflict between trans rights and women’s rights, and that all trans women are subject to misogyny and patriarchal oppression.

Oh, really?

Lollygaggles · 11/02/2020 12:44

If I were to write a spoof article, I couldn't do any better than that.

Languishingfemale · 11/02/2020 12:48

They're merely continuing in the manner that they started - intimidation, bullying and threatening women. And it's a sign of how powerful this group is that they can write it all down and people applaud it. Confused

littlbrowndog · 11/02/2020 12:51

When did wpuk and LGB alliance become a hate group

midclegs · 11/02/2020 13:00

transmisogyny - what is that? Grin

ThinEndoftheWedge · 11/02/2020 13:03

Angela Rayner. Our solidarity is long overdue - The Labour Party should always be an open and safe space for all

Yep - except for woman and girls defending their legal rights to definition, safety, dignity and privacy.

Tories in power for the foreseeable future with this bollocks

NotTerfNorCis · 11/02/2020 13:04

Anyone who disagrees with genderism is 'hateful' apparently.

MoltenLasagne · 11/02/2020 13:07

There's a little button that says 'click here to see the replies that have been hidden', it's very illuminating.

Floisme · 11/02/2020 13:09

Not so long ago this would have upset me. I won't go as far as saying I no longer care as I'm going to the trouble of posting about it. But it's a close thing.

HDDD · 11/02/2020 13:13

What the chuff is Angela Rayner on? I'm stunned at this

GCAcademic · 11/02/2020 13:15

Let them carry on. The more of this they indulge in, the more remote their chances of being in a position of power to actually implement their Cultural Revolution.

FleecyMoo · 11/02/2020 13:36

I'm another who's hoping that if this sort of rampant narcissism continues unchecked more (rational, ordinary, non-brainwashed) people will see it for what it is.

If I felt myself to be a victim I'm sure I'd be able to define what, exactly, I was a victim of. A generalised sense of victimhood cuts no ice without facts to back it up and there are no facts available since this self-identified victimhood is a work of utter fiction. When TRAs can explain what human rights are denied this group that are afforded to those outside the group I might listen. I suspect I'll be waiting in vain ...

Absolutepowercorrupts · 11/02/2020 13:38

MoltenLasagne
Thanks for that tip about the hidden replies, they show a very different story.
Much appreciated

Lordfrontpaw · 11/02/2020 13:42

Is that a joke account though? Only set up last October.

Is Titiana McGrath up to her old tricks again? Or have the Brass Eye team set this up to see who is dumb enough (remember 'Cake'?).

TinselAngel · 11/02/2020 13:43

Purging and silencing opponents is not really a good look in a supposedly Democratic Party.

OP posts:
FridgeOffal · 11/02/2020 13:51

Look at the wording. It's as if it is a summons to battle.

ACCEPT (our version of reality without question)

BELIEVE

COMMIT (to believing in self-ID ideology)

ACCEPT (that TWAW, TMAM and NBP are NB without question (see COMMIT)

LISTEN to your trans COMRADES (all animals are equal but some are more equal than others/you must unquestionably defer to them)

SUPPORT trans members (vote unquestioningly for their motions)

OPPOSE (motions to protect children and women) and support STRIKING DOWN such ideas

FIGHT against other rights groups that we tell you are phobic, bad and HATE groups

SUPPORT the EXPULSION of those who do not agree and label them phobic and bigoted

SUPPORT (unquestioningly a proposed change to an act of law no matter what the cost for vulnerable women, children, LGB and religious minority groups)

ORGANISE AGAINST (anything we tell you is transphobic, in or outside of our party, without question).

It's violent language. I am chilled to my core by it.

NonnyMouse1337 · 11/02/2020 13:54

The account is labour_trans.

If the official Labour Party actually want to get in power, they will be wary of rushing to exclude the vast majority of the population from its membership and support.

ThePurported · 11/02/2020 13:56

5. Accept that there is no material conflict between trans rights and women’s rights, and that all trans women are subject to misogyny and patriarchal oppression.

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/3348290-It-will-never-happen-resource-thread

And I bet Pippa Bunce suffers terrible patriarchal oppression on Thursdays and Fridays.

BovaryX · 11/02/2020 13:57

Let them carry on. The more of this they indulge in, the more remote their chances of being in a position of power to actually implement their Cultural Revolution.

Well said. It's all very Mao. So when John McDonnell chucked The Little Red Book on the despatch box, he was reflecting a party wide influence.....

postingintotheabyss · 11/02/2020 13:59

Am fuming at all of it. But THIS bit of the demands - jeez.

  1. Accept that there is no material conflict between trans rights and women’s rights, and that all trans women are subject to misogyny and patriarchal oppression

When it’s never been noticed, stated or accepted that all women are subject to misogyny and patriarchal oppression, it’s a bit bloody rich if transwomen get to jump the queue...
