Who wants to join me in quarantine? (Lighthearted)

Such is the sheer amount of fuckwittery around at the moment, I find myself envious of people being quarantined.

Crisp sheets, peace and quiet, possible internet detox. What's not to like? (Assuming you don't get ill of course).

Anyone joining me?

(Or am I getting quarantine mixed up with a spa break?)

I'd love to be quarantined in a spa. I'm in!

TinselAngel · 07/02/2020 17:44

Maybe eventually the spas will have to be commandeered?

Will there be lots of tea and hot buttered toast?
If so I'm in.

TeaAndStrumpets · 07/02/2020 17:46

I'm trundling in with a stack of books and some proper tea.

Proper butter, to keep our strength up.

Think I would also need a total communications black out, and a warm blanket. Please

MummyOfBoyAndGirl · 07/02/2020 18:00

I would love a spa---

It I would settle for a bed that I have to myself, time to read my Kindle, lovely silence & bacon rolls

No silly people allowed!

TinselAngel · 07/02/2020 18:06

White bread only.

I also want emotional support puppies to be available.

And kittens

TinselAngel · 07/02/2020 19:28

Those puppies!

The Doctors, I thinking, will all look like Richard Chamberlain.

I've cancelled Facebook and Twitter and filtered topics on MN and its fucking beautiful.

Somethings we can change and some thing we can't, we can only manage how we deal with it. Understanding that has done wonders for my mental health.

However if theres a spa you can book me in for a head massage and a foot rub

MrsDoylesTeaBags · 07/02/2020 19:52

Oh a tea and buttered toast would be lovely thanks

Bananabixfloof · 07/02/2020 19:52

Budge up for one more. It's those puppies that made my mind up. I'm also actually sick and do need quarantining.

FannyCann · 07/02/2020 20:50

Can I put a vote in for crumpets? Lashings of heartstopping butter. A bit of runny honey sometimes. A local heather one ideally. Definitely not a Chinese or "EU and non EU" combined one.
I'd like it to be in one of those old TB hospitals with balconies, fresh air and extensive grounds full of rhododendrons.

Those women look pretty cheerful. I bet it was the best holiday of their lives.

Wise words teabags, but I am struggling to accept my limitations

MrsSnippyPants · 07/02/2020 20:59

I was in quarantine for 48 hours last week actually, it was quite pleasant, I could quite fancy a full week of it.

Those puppies are now almost 7 years old and are snoring next to me!

Al1Langdownthecleghole · 07/02/2020 21:20

Can I be quarantined too? I have wine, chocolate an audio book subscription and a large new ball of ombré wool.

I’ll bring hand gel to ward off any germs.

MrsSnippyPants · 07/02/2020 22:02

Yarn! Good call Al1Lang

BlackeyedSusan · 07/02/2020 22:27

If there is no washing up, I'm in.

Packs yarn and hook.

ScrimshawTheSecond · 07/02/2020 22:45

Ooh, is it a home for Consumptive Ladies? May I bring my sourdough starter, a slightly peculiar cat and a bag of oranges? I can do hot toddies to ward off - well, most things.

GrinitchSpinach · 07/02/2020 22:56

Please may I check in until after the American election? I'm sure DH can manage to feed the children for a few months.
