Of course, if the moderators had banned her there and then, no one would've given a single solitary fuck and probably just opened the door for her on her way out.

Grin Grin Grin

Winesalot there used to be (maybe still are, I rarely Penguin) jokes printed on the wrappers. Roughly of the standard of the jokes you used to get on ice lolly sticks i.e. bad.

DanaPhoenix · 22/01/2020 11:56

So just a question for those in the UK. Is your Weetabix only plain or do you have variations? Asking as I found Weetbix Blends in the supermarket and the Cranberry and Coconut one is very nice.

No I'm not paid to endorse Sanitarium products before anyone asks.

HerRoyalFattyness · 22/01/2020 11:59

I'm just generic wheat biscuits.
You can't out a label on me just because I'm made of wheat!

OnlyTheTitOfTheLangBerg · 22/01/2020 12:07

Several flavours available, including banana which proves that as well as being a dangerous subversive spreading highly inflammatory information about safeguarding which obviously must be stopped, Lang is in cahoots with Post Holdings Inc.

Winesalot · 22/01/2020 12:13

Thanks for the explanation on jokey Penguins. I am beginning to appreciate their worth. Grin

Spartabix · 22/01/2020 12:16

I was AnyOldPrion, but now I am Spartabix.

NearlyGranny · 22/01/2020 12:20

Penguins are not timtams. Timtamness cannot be acquired post-manufacture. Penguins can call themselves timtams all they like; nobody is deceived, wrappers on or off.

I identify as Weetbix when in Australia; Weetabix when in the UK. What ought my pronouns to be?

Non-granary.

ScrimshawTheSecond · 22/01/2020 12:28

I am Oatibix, but will identify as Weetabix in solidarity.

DanaPhoenix · 22/01/2020 12:28

Thanks Only was just curious we had more than one flavour too, possibly Banana, it's just the cranberry and coconut caught my eye.

ScrimshawTheSecond · 22/01/2020 12:28

Non-granary.

Bwhahaha!

LangSpartacusCleg · 22/01/2020 12:29

Winesalot, I remember penguins from childhood but I can’t remember when I last had one. I moved to Sydney two years ago and was introduced to TimTams then. Too many years have passed for a comparison so I think I need to do a full and proper taste test and report back to everyone here.

I’m due a visit to the British Lolly Shop for some Monster Munch anyway....

TinseLANGel · 22/01/2020 12:30

As I've said before, I would do anything for Lang, but I won't do that. No I won't do that.

NewYearsHumberElla · 22/01/2020 12:38

Non-granary

Make sure you keep us informed!! We did a taste session here with in London last year. It was eye opening. But I am constantly amazed as well at how well a Tim Tam holds together when dunked in tea.

nearlygranny I nearly wrote something along the same lines! A penguin cannot self ID as a Tim Tam once you have actually eaten both.

RaininSummer · 22/01/2020 12:43

I am Weetabix too (with sliced banana and cold non-dairy milk) - Lang is so brilliant that she can have her Weetabix however she wishes. Stupid cow-towing weak decision Mumsnet.

ButterisbestLangClegisbetter · 22/01/2020 12:47

non-granary
Love that. 🤣
I was weetabix this morning, no hot milk though and yes we have no bananas.
I'm going to try Spinster again.
Lang Cleg will be missed here.

Weetabollocks · 22/01/2020 12:56

I identify as gluten-freebix.

That's a thing.
Fuck knows what's in me

DanaPhoenix · 22/01/2020 12:59

For the Sydney based lolly lovers, have you been to Morpeth (near Maitland) ? Great lolly shop there. Lots of imported and hard to find lollies, drinks and snacks and a yummy selection of handmade fudge.
Might be worth a day trip lots of arts, crafts, antiques etc...plenty of lunch options too.

birdsdestiny · 22/01/2020 13:13

I have been reliably informed ( i.e by someone on twitter) that weetabix are funded by the far right.
We could send weetabix to MNHQ - that would show them.

DanaPhoenix · 22/01/2020 13:21

Hahaha... oh wait I can see how they could conceivably make a very loose connection regarding Weetbix. Sanitarium IIRC is owned by some religion I think Jehovah's Witnesses?

Hope they didn't pull something with that massive stretch.

OnlyTheTitOfTheLangBerg · 22/01/2020 13:23

As we're all supposed to be funded by far-right fundamentalists when can I expect my complimentary boxes of Weetabix?

grumpymummy72 · 22/01/2020 13:28

Am I weetabix and would share a bowl with LangCleg anytime.

grumpymummy72 · 22/01/2020 13:30

I am. Certainly not unsure here.

Weetabollocks · 22/01/2020 13:31

Seriously, what's in gluten free weetabix? It can't be wheat.

I had some for breakfast this morning, but I haven't a clue!
