I am a long time lurker but infrequent poster here but I needed to bring this to everyone's attention.
I have found out that Mumsnet HQ have banned the fabulous LangCleg simply for repeatedly pointing out the repeated times coercive control has been used by the moderators to stop women talking.
I understand it started with a conversation when a post was deleted because she allegedly used a sweeping generalisation but they couldn't or wouldn't confirm the generalisation and when she challenged them they decided to ban her on the basis of previous comments.

So it now seems pointing out coercive control is now grounds for being banned, thus proving that coercive control is being used.

I for one would like @MumsnetHQ to provide an explanation here as this is really not on

(also taking bets on how long before the thread is deleted)

I have learnt so much from knowledgeable posters on FWR, and Lang is one of the best. Always cuts to the chase and sees through the obfuscation. If excellent posters like Lang are banned we are all the poorer, especially Mumsnet which will become increasingly irrelevant.

To be honest I also want an apology for the ‘shouting’ and ‘haranguing’ comments. MNHQ have really forgotten who their core audience is and businesses that do that always end up in trouble.

Have come out of hibernation to express my sadness, frustration and fury at this decision by MN.

Was thinking of chucking in my membership but actually I might just start hanging out here again...

Hey monitors, you might be successful in getting some us silenced here but everyday we speak to many, many people in real life about these issues. And those many, many people speak to even more people and they’re not afraid anymore. Look at what happened to Jo Swinson when people started talking to her about this stuff in public.

It's bizarre when you consider that those when those who report our posts come and actually engage with us, it's utterly clear they don't actually read what we're writing and consistently misrepresent our views. Often whilst openly admitting to trolling MN all the way.

As a parent desperately concerned about how our gay offspring are being told they are #BornWrong its deeply concerning. Woke Homophobia, under the guise of inclusivity, is destabilising Gay males, and statistics show this is worse for parents of Lesbians. Wow, I am actually devastated to hear this news. LangCleg is/was such a calm, rational and intelligent poster. I found her posts invaluable.

For the first time, I am seriously concerned that MNHQ has fallen. I need to go and check out Spinster. I can't believe how free speech - not "hate"speech, but just the voicing of concerns for the safety of women and children - is being silenced.

The problem is, we don’t know what the reason for deleting LangCleg’s account was? I’m sure the Admin’s know more than us and are acutely aware of the MNHQ terms of service.
