And one particular line of argument that says "If you want to end the marriage because you're unhappy with a fundamental change to your marriage, go ahead. But you can't stop it, nur, nur!"

Why is anyone even surprised? Jess doesn't have principles. She has ambitions. She's always been like this. At the moment, she's calculating that the LP membership is majority Woke (and she's quite likely right, given the membership surge when Corbyn became leader) and so Woke are her current principles. She'll have some new ones if they ever become more suitable, never thee fear.

I joined the LP after the election with the vague notion of voting for her if I could. Now I have as many people I feel comfortable voting for as I did in the GE. Is spoiling a ballot a thing in leadership elections?! Maybe I'll just give up with the LP before I've even been a member for a month. I think they really are beyond saving.
