I am also pleased that Keir has said in the past that he wishes to protect women's rights too, and there is nothing in this video to contradict this, so maybe Keir is intending to bring people together. If so, good on him.

Neither has mounted any full-throated defence of women's rights. Neither will do so during this leadership election campaign.
If you think Kier Starmer will do anything concrete to put a brake on the genderist juggernaut, I really can't help you. He won't. Neither will any of the others (with the possible exception of Lisa Nandy, and the best she will manage is the status quo and long grass for any further trans reforms).
I know it's hard to accept. I don't want to accept it either. But it's true. The Labour Party is lost to women for the forseeable. Our only realistic option is to decamp, as the Red Wall did, and wait until they finally (if ever) see the light and make actual, serious, genuine attempts to win us back.
