Yes, Caro has some views which differ significantly from Radical Feminists. I don't agree with her on everything and I'm every bit as Catholic as she is. But the way I see it, your feminism is pretty bunk if you side with bullying, disturbed men over women who you disagree with on some things. Because that's what we're talking about here. So I'll take the pointless little canard about being 'right wing' if I disagree with a woman being harassed and persecuted in her daily life, and ask what is 'left wing' about supporting it, tbh.

I mean, on one side you have a woman who I disagree with on some key issues that are important to me, but whom I would feel perfectly comfortable sitting down over a cup of tea to discuss those issues with. On the other side you have a bunch of men who I'm rather afraid that if I tried that might knock my teeth out before trying to get me sacked/arrested. And the people in group B are also trying to make it impossible to define what a woman is in law, which would make any laws and institutions currently in place to protect women and our rights null and void.

Pretty easy choice in terms of who to support really.

And before any eager little readers report the above comment let me point out that Harrop and the other person who was gloating about getting Caroline's ESTA revoked are men, with no declared trans identity at all. Who are bullying a woman.

Yes, I suppose I will have to put in a fucking disclaimer that the disturbed bullying men in reference in my post are male bodied individuals that identify with the male gender.

Also there's a strong element of empathy because who knows why angry misogynists fixate on the particular woman that they do? It could be any of us, really. And that's why any time this kind of situation happens I will always be on the woman's side.

I disagree very strongly with Caroline on most issues but this is disgusting stuff. And the authorities have totally let her down. I wish I knew what we could do

There ate a whole bunch of topics that society needs to be able to discuss openly, respectfully and constructively. Abortion is one (early, late, rape, disability etc). Surrogacy, euthanasia, gender identification (medication and consent, NHS role, single sex spaces, spousal veto etc etc) are others.

Caroline is one brave woman, and is consistent in her views. Many won't agree with on everything but the debate itself helps confirm our own thinking. Concepts of right think and wrong think have no role in a democratic society.

The irony is that Caroline's worldview sits more comfortably in the US than the UK. The treatment she has received here is appalling. I may not agree, but I have to admire.
