Atleast Posie is one of the few people brave enough to talk about grooming gangs. There is a shocking lack of that on this sub. Let’s just ignore thousands of young girls being raped because it’s wacist. Meanwhile Karen White is mentioned every three days. It’s just as bad as the Labour politicians who ignored it for years.

It’s easier to vilify than respond, I get that.

It’s hard to look at things constructively that you may be part of (unconsciously of course, as I don’t know you and am not presuming anything about your character) It can be uncomfortable.

I think casting off things like white feminism as ‘just something ‘TRAs say’ speaks volume as to why someone like Posie has remained influential amongst some feminists despite various undeniably racist links.

She’s made several islamophobic and racist tweets, including saying Islam is a ‘convert or die non peaceful religion’

That we could blame ‘Pakistani Culture’ on a rape.

When Tommy robinson was arrested she said something like ‘ we can offend everyone except transwomen and men’

She made several comments about the hijab.

These are just from my head from when I last looked into her.

I do not think Posie is significantly more or less racist than the average white Brit.
I also think it is inappropriate to accuse her when she is unable to respond. She's not hiding. Go tell her what you think of her for going around acting like a people.

And of having racist links - heritage foundation and this guy being the two off the top of my head - who are both undeniably racist.

It shouldn’t be so difficult to discuss racism and feminism links. I call myself a feminist, and wouldn’t call myself a racist. It doesn’t mean that every feminist is a racist by any means. But to deny ‘white feminism’ exists is ridiculous.

That guy was horrible though, so openly misogynist. And I did notice that although she did pick him up and refute his bullshit about women committing violent crimes and domestic abuse, Posie wasn’t as bullish with him as she has been against some others. She doesn’t really come out fighting until she feels personally attacked, I think.

I don't think talking about the culture of mainly Pakistani men in the UK and how it can be detrimental to women IS racist though. It's a fact that there are towns in the North where a mysoginist culture is rife among a lot Asian men. If you were from one of the towns where it's a problem (I am) you would know this earlywalker. Maybe your problem is Southern Feminism?
I have a friend who is married to a UK Asian guy and she couldn't believe how backward the mentality was in the community of the town she had moved to (from India). It's well known and it's a big problem.
Also, not all Muslim women and girls wear hijab. It's a cultural expectation of certain sections of the population, not Muslims as a whole. You can't just not talk about this stuff -it affects women and girls and that matters. To me anyway.

Personally I think the idea of sectioning off different types of women from feminism as a whole is ridiculous. All women are opressed to varying degrees but for the same reason ( having a fanny)so all feminism is for all women.

And I absolutely agree that women on the right and the left need to talk together about the issue of self id as it affects all of us.

Black people, women and working class people have got to cross pollinate and come together to fight oppression. This "white feminism" insult is just old-fashioned divide and rule shite.

I don’t use the phrase ‘white feminism’ to offend but I think the subject on this thread and the responses to it, perfectly showcase it.

I’m brown and I detest the phrase “white feminism.” It refers to the Sally Hines school of thought though (privileged, ID as “c*s” and despise WC women) so irrelevant here.

I thought PP was staunch WC (but married a guy with money) - is she actually posh?? Based on my extensive experience with posh English people (viz. heard the Queen on the radio once), PP doesn’t seem posh at all.

I’ve never heard of this guy, he sounds awful based on comments here, I’ll research when I have time.

My question: does he believe brown WC women should be legally compelled to touch penises and testicles against their will?
