Hey BBC, where's our front-page promoted article and video interview about all the things women have done for and by each other, for centuries, to stay safe in public? No?

The "look at poor ickle us suffering from these things nobody has ever had to worry about before" is so infuriating. We have been living this shit forever.

There are lots of things women are not able to do. Why choose one that focuses on trans people.... again
It's not about trans though, it's about fairness when one special section of society gets special treatment, another differently special group gets fuck all and told to not bother their pretty little female brains about it.

Oh ok. So you want a taxi with a female driver? Where are you in the UK? I'll organise one for you. There are loads of women only taxi services. Or you can just ask for a female driver and I'm quite sure the company will be happy to oblige you if one is free.

Or is that actually not what you meant?

All anyone wants is for women-only services, that are based on women's SEX, not gender. Thus women (adult human females) could have their own loos, medical care, taxis, shelters. It really isn't anything radical. Yet when we ask for this, apparently we're bigoted and prejudiced? Why is that?

If trans individuals want their own services, that's fine. No-one is bothered about this. But why is wanting women's sex-based services somehow transphobic and exclusionary?

There is no female only taxi service in my town, I dont have a clue about driving instructors and there are or recently were 3 female bus drivers in my city. Also very few female bus conductors. Just in case we were off on another tangent?

And yes, there are women-only taxi services. But seems like some men think they're sexist and have blocked one (that I know of) :

Feel I should expand on my previous answer.
I would never get a taxi cos I can drive, I would never drink so that I could not drive, in the remote chance of that happening I would walk home, cadge a lift, stay at a trusted mates house. Anything rather than get in a taxi . You heard of John worboys? Yeah me too.

I think the OP has an issue with the bbc etc and their reporting, mainly not reporting similar initiatives by women.
