There's one on Gillet Square in Dalston. It's for the junkies and winos who congregate their to stop them pissing on other people's property. It's apparently better than it was before the council provided it.

Saw similar in Bruges. Went on the most almightly rant about why men need to piss in the streets and can't find a suitable toilet in a bar. Bruges is pretty much only made up of bars and cafes, so this is just a little extra so then men don't even need to consider being decent and thinking about when they'll be able to empty their bladders.

I've also seen them in Stroud.

Used to have these in Piccadilly in Manchester but they didn't last long. I think they're awful, wee would leak out. Quite common in Europe though .

I can only assume it is some fool's solution to the problem of men peeing in doorways at night. Instead of building proper public toilets they came up with this cheap hideous solution.
