Convicted paedophile lusts over Desmond (the amazing one) [trigger warning for obvious reasons]

Tom O'Carroll, former chair of PIE, has written a piece saying how sexy he finds Desmond. I note that our old friend Peter Tatchell is tagged too.

But of course there's nothing wrong or weird with a kid dressing up and dancing in gay clubs. Hmm

At least he's not pretending it's not sexualising childhood I suppose

A quick check on KF to make sure they are covering it informs me that Desmond has a sister (a female one) who was taken into care and has made allegations of abuse.

But they didn't come back to rescue Desmond? Seems strange, he's so obviously at risk.

Kilbranan · 16/06/2019 16:39

It’s sickening that Edward Lord who is in position of influence is so openly supportive of a paedophile and trying to bring in changes which allow men easier access to children ie mixed sex toilets. Why can no one join the dots with this stuff??

HeyDuggeesCakeBadge · 16/06/2019 16:39

OMG the comments on that blog are gross - I had to stop reading them when they were being so open about their inclinations and critiquing the drag kids videos - I actually feel sick and violated.

The one man on there saying how could the authorities treat him viewing indecent images badly when they are supportive of circumcision was revolting.

GirlDownUnder · 16/06/2019 16:48

Just no words. Or none I have learnt that will stop this.

This week. Month. Year. All the shit. It's relentless. And I don't know if I'm 'just' seeing more, or there's more there, and we are making a difference.

Going back to yesterday an OP said Most fathers of little girls would become homicidal at this point.

Sadly I think this is because as a daughter we are property, so are protected. Otherwise we are just fair 'game' or even bragging rights.

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 16/06/2019 16:53

I don't know if I'm 'just' seeing more

You've taken the rose tinted glasses off and now you see it, it's been there for years.

LangCleg · 16/06/2019 16:56

They've tagged Melissa Hines in that as well - she's a Cambridge academic who worked with Vicky Pasterski (expert witness for the trans foster child and Ms Jay cases) on most of the "prenatal androgen exposure/ gender identity disorder" research that I've found. I dug it all up after the NAS "gender ID develops in the womb" conference. It seems to be what the NHS is basing it's current "causes of gender dysphoria" section on. I couldn't find much else about Hines, except that she definitely believes that gender roles are innate. I wonder why she's been tagged?

Oh God.

MangoesAreMyFavourite · 16/06/2019 16:59

I am a sexy kid with sexy feelings says Tom Carroll of Desmond. This is the crux, isn't it? Projecting his (Tom's) feelings onto Desmond and using it to justify Tom's lusting over Desmond. It's just another way of saying he's asking for it when actually Desmond has no idea.

Makes me sick... all these blokes wanking over this poor child's videos.

LangCleg · 16/06/2019 17:03

You've taken the rose tinted glasses off and now you see it, it's been there for years.

It's always been there and it will always be there.

That is why we have safeguarding and why safeguarding is blind. I'm subject to it, everyone here is subject to it, every woman, every man, every trans person - all subject to it. No ifs, no buts, no exceptions.

Safeguarding is sceptical of everyone because it has to be: that is its purpose. If any person, or any group, is offended by its scrutiny - tough cookies, cos that's a red flag in itself.

No sacred castes. Ever.

LassOfFyvie · 16/06/2019 17:39

I skim read some other articles on that blog and now want to disinfect my phone.

Being serious, I did wonder if I clicked through on any links where exactly I might end up.

Thingybob · 16/06/2019 17:52

Menuplant Is that correct information about EL?

I recall reading that he is connected with a former member of PIE but am pretty sure it is not Tom O'Carroll

SarahTancredi · 16/06/2019 17:56

God that makes me feel physically sick.

Someone help that poor boy.

MenuPlant · 16/06/2019 18:04

Thingy I think it was him but like I said I didn't check

If it's not then apologies to Edward Lord that I got the wrong Pie type he called a hero

OrchidInTheSun · 16/06/2019 18:10

All these things are true:

Richard Green, sexologist who died in April:

head of GIC at Charing X
Husband of Melissa Hinds
links with mermaids
defender of paedophilia
friends with convicted paedophile Tom O'carroll

Poor poor Desmond. It’s horrific.

And this possible professional link to a gender identity clinic is massively concerning.

nonsenceagain · 16/06/2019 19:02

I’m just so Sad and Angry about this. That poor, poor boy.

Re the latest Mermaid scandal. In February 2015 I interviewed Tom O'Carroll, child abuser and spokesperson for the Paedophile Information Exchange. He was very pro-transgendering children. Not surprised. I don't have a link as never published, but I do have the transcript.

Outofinspiration · 16/06/2019 19:19

Desmond's Instagram is very interesting, I was just looking at it earlier today funnily enough. It's an absolute onslaught of #beyourselfalways #lgbt #pride etc etc hashtags as if its a way of deflecting.

This picture is from his latest photo shoot. As always he is surrounded by adults. The t-shirt in the middle - now, Desmond is 11 (possibly 12 now I think) so he will know what sex is. But that's it isn't it at that age (my kids are a bit younger) it's the cusp of starting to feel things I guess, but the idea of 'having lots of sex' and why that might be a good thing, in the context of that t-shirt, is not really something that a kid of his age would understand. Add to this the fact that Desmond apparently has autism. It must be so difficult for him to process a lot of what he is exposed to.

Also, some people were commenting on how skinny he looks, and it's dismissed with 'high metabolism'.

I know Desmond's parents have already been investigated and 'nothing was found' (although how that can be said in the case of a child who is on video simulating snorting ketamine I don't know) but it just all screams red flags to me?

AshQ · 16/06/2019 19:28

I will never understand why this child’s parents allow him to dance in clubs and hang out with Michael Alig.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 16/06/2019 19:30

Money, fame, money.

PencilsInSpace · 16/06/2019 19:39

I can't quite get my head around all the stuff that has come out over the last week or so around child safeguarding from so many directions.

Victoriapestis01 · 16/06/2019 19:41

Am I right in thinking the bbc, pink news and stonewall have all covered Desmond’s story in an approving way?
If so, why isn’t the media all over the fact that this is happening? Why isn’t the Times doing an article on the bbc/pink news/ stonewall coverage of Desmond, and its implications in terms of how our society sexualises children? The normalisation of abuse?

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 16/06/2019 19:45

I just keep thinking - poor kid. Reminds me a bit of that child who was feted (1970s? 1980s?) as a child genius antiques hunter. Of course it turned out to be a load of hooey but I don’t think they ended up a happy adult...

DuMondeB · 16/06/2019 19:53

You’re not wrong, Fekko - that kid transitioned and has a thread on KFarms!

PencilsInSpace · 16/06/2019 20:08

To be fair there are still only a tiny number of journalists who are brave enough to put their name to something critical of queer theory. The Times have Janice Turner and Andrew Gilligan and they've both already written great articles this week on the NSPCC and Mermaids.

There are a couple of good articles in the Spectator. There's the terrifyingly realistic parody linked upthread and there's this one which is a straight opinion piece:

spectator.us/desmond-amazing-child-drag-queens/

The fact that this disgusting perverted man has now written a fawning blog post about this child will I hope lead to some good, indepth investigative journalism.

I'm hoping for an Andrew Gilligan piece because he has all the relevant background knowledge and takes no prisoners but he might have his hands full at the moment with the Mermaids stuff.
