Was chatting with a mate last night. 4 months ago she was oh live and let live.
Now after seeing all this nonsense and real harm being caused to women and children and safeguarding being dropped she is a raging TERF

That lesbians get in trouble for sitting on chairs

That the police and justice have been weaponised against public debate

The more stuff that has a light shone on it the better

MockerstheFeManist · 29/03/2019 09:42

Boasting that your vexatious litigation has cost your victim a small fortune before you dropped it is the clear mark of a snivelling little shit.

I was introduced to the word “Verschlimmbesserung” on here the other week. It’s the situation where, in the act of trying to improve something, you end up maki g it much, much worse.

It’s getting a lot of Brexit related outings, and it seems quite at home in this thread, too. How did I ever manage before I found it? Grin

I wonder what the farmers have to say on this. Gonna pop over to the farmers

nauticant · 29/03/2019 09:46

At least this thread brought us the RT video which was well worth viewing. I recommend it to everyone on the thread.

Also, this thread has brought to my attention that somehow I missed watching both Black Books and IT Crowd ... which should I get first?

howlsmovingcastle84 · 29/03/2019 09:50

IT Crowd Erol!!!! The one where they go to the theatre is particularity relevant :-)

Datun · 29/03/2019 09:51

The other thing is, of course, that the person who has jumped onto this thread could be anyone. And what they are saying a whole load of bollocks. That's the beauty of the internet.

ErrolTheDragon · 29/03/2019 09:55

They could be anyone, but I'm inclined to think no one else would be much inclined to bother.

andyoldlabour · 29/03/2019 09:58

@stephLDS18?

Flying lawyer and vexatious litigator extraordinaire.
Every time you tweet, you peak trans another person.

SecondRow · 29/03/2019 09:58

I had watched that video with the sound off the first time I saw it, today I watched it with the sound on.

SecondRow · 29/03/2019 10:02

SophoclesTheFox - The Germans also invented " fremdschämen ", which is the verb for being cringingly embarrassed for someone else who probably lacks all insight into their own behaviour...

I know right. I think Stephanie is going on about the money because they think that it will somehow make it look like Graham is actually guilty of something. The 'tweets cost 28 grand', well yes, only because of you Stephanie. In no objective world had Graham done anything wrong at all. In no objective world should those tweets have cost 28 grand.

The case was dropped. There is nothing to persue here. So Stephanie is basically boasting that they caused someone who had done nothing wrong, to have to spend 28 thousand pounds totally uneccessarily. It's not a great look is it?

It's weird, I have never been subject to abuse, gaslighting or manipulation by a man or partner in real life. I have a great husband and family. I can't even really imagine being treated that way, I'm very lucky in that respect. But I see it so much of it by TRAs, it makes me realise how it can so easily happen, and that the people who do it literally don't give a fuck, and will press on forward with it even when the whole world can see it for what it is. Because the narcissism and the need to be abusive is that strong.

And Stephanie Hayden is one of the absolute worst for it.

CharlieParley · 29/03/2019 10:07

I just watched that video to the end...I have no words that wouldn't get me banned.

But if we don't win this fight, women and girls will have been abolished as a distinct and separate group worthy of legal protections under domestic and human rights law in this country. For the sake of a men's sexual rights movement.

JessicaWakefieldSVH · 29/03/2019 10:08

^ yup.

SingeBuggerCack · 29/03/2019 10:08

They are both brilliant. I think Black Books just pips it for me, although there is no wrong answer to this question. I think it comes down to whether your interests lie more with office work or second-hand bookshops.

Then again The IT Crowd episode where Jen gives up smoking... 😍 or the episode where Moss plays Street Countdown.

IAmSimmo · 29/03/2019 10:09

Datun

the technical term is "mansplaining"

Redshoeblueshoe · 29/03/2019 10:10

SophoclesTheFox · 29/03/2019 10:14

A MN education has it all.

EweSurname · 29/03/2019 10:15

Steph hasn't actually signed up for this thread as stephLDS18 has posted on mumsnet last year.

andyoldlabour · 29/03/2019 10:18

"Because the narcissism and the need to be abusive is that strong."

My wife and I experienced this from a family member (on my side) a few years ago (It actually lasted for around six years), and the worst of it happened when we were both out of work for a year and nearly lost our house. The person concerned wrote poison pen letters to both of us and spread malicious lies about us to other family members.
The person in question is very narcisistic and has to be the centre of attention all the time. They enjoy inflicting pain on others, and they will boast to others about their vile actions.

Yes, I recognise this abusive behaviour from my own family unfortunately. My father was violent and controlling this way, my sister has sadly learnt the same vile behaviour. The threats and intimidation to attempt to silence and control others, is something we are seeing here.
