Anyone come across this?

I've spotted a number of my brilliant, supportive, liberal, respected colleagues on there Sad

One of the comments is a prospective student threatening to "drop kick" TERFs at their institution Sad

OP posts:
severnbore · 18/03/2019 22:59

That page has posted previously saying 'send photos of dead terfs', threats of violence should be taken very seriously: www.facebook.com/Terfwar/posts/291560565052548

As for a woman academic telling her colleague to beg forgiveness from these nutters... words fail me

adultFemaleElf · 18/03/2019 23:11

Do these young idiots not know that future employers scan the interweb for all activity linked to their name? Threats of any sort will rule them out of consideration for employment. And to be honest whinging is almost as offputting.

DodoPatrol · 18/03/2019 23:13

It’ll be a fake name though. Amari Is a character name from Truth or Dare.

Needmoresleep · 18/03/2019 23:35

Or maybe a name adopted after they decided to identify as the opposite sex.

That would be true to most, but this is in the name of Trans-rights, so it okay.

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 19/03/2019 07:19

'That would be true to most, but this is in the name of Trans-rights, so it okay'

At the moment it is officially ok. But 1. It is not actually ok with most people because most people don't believe in this shit, they just don't say so out loud. 2. Extraordinary Popular Delusions don't last for ever...

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 19/03/2019 07:25

If I met someone in the pub and Googled them to find that that were/are/had been as a student a very vocal BNP member who encourage or enthusiastically cheerleader witchhunts and threatened violence - I don’t think I’d be rushing to meet them again.

Bowlofbabelfish · 19/03/2019 07:47

Are you now, or have you ever been...?

Talk about a witch-hunt. I await the societal backlash...

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 19/03/2019 07:59

I predict many a sad horse faced photo on the newspapers of gloomy Anistaaianaaaaa and Xi’s non binary parent complaining about lack of job offers in law or childcare since Anistaaianaaaaa’s student activist days.

Emma the intern is now a civil servant so clearly the government doesn’t see her as a risk.

RepealTheGRA · 19/03/2019 08:16

Of course they is. That explains a lot.

ChattyLion · 19/03/2019 08:24

This is appalling. Can the academics listed call their union? Universities UK? www.universitiesuk.ac.uk

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 19/03/2019 09:11

Call for the idiot students to be banned? I’d feel wary and unsafe if they were in my class.

worstofbothworlds · 19/03/2019 10:33

It does kind of depend if they are just daft (I had a student try to, er, studentsplain "assigned at birth") or vicious (like those that attacked Rosa Freedman's office).

DodoPatrol · 19/03/2019 10:41

I don’t think it’s entirely fair to blame the students for what they are parroting. These are the generation who have had the Talk in school about jelly babies, gender fluidity, identities, girl/boy/non binary brains and being accepting to all evening f they make you feel uneasy.

Yes, they should eventually start to pick the wheat from the chaff but it’s going to take a while.

DodoPatrol · 19/03/2019 10:42

Evening = even if

ComputerSaysMo · 19/03/2019 10:46

What department? They are all under the cosh re: GDPR right now. What responsibilities does she have?

GCAcademic · 19/03/2019 10:50

Emma Healey is a policy advisor in the Department of Transport. Her LinkedIn account makes much of the experience gained during her Mumsnet internship. No mention, however, of her data breaches and doxing of women.

AstonishedFemalePersonator · 19/03/2019 11:02

She claims "extensive experience in campaigns". Really? Seven months as an intern, 11 months working for a brewery-related organisation (her campaign failed, incidentally) and now three months at the Ministry of Transport equals "extensive"?

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 19/03/2019 11:04

She has a LinkedIn account hmmmmm?

heresyisthenewblack · 19/03/2019 11:09

If and when the bubble bursts (please let it be tomorrow!), I predict many of the most vicious TRAs will just change their names again, pretend they never did anything but campaign for sex-based rights and stop dyeing their hair bright neon colours. I feel like alot of them are narcissists doing this for their egos, so if there comes a time when there is a social penalty/reckoning/embarrassment attached to their frankly unhinged behaviour and recompense demanded for the real damage caused (especially to women/children), they'll just try to cover it up. The majority of "nonbinary" or "genderfluid" folks aren't likely to have committed to permanent physical effects, so it's not like they'd have that hard a time "desisting" to blend in, as it were... "Deadnaming" is a gift these authoritarian ideologues gave themselves, works in all sorts of ways. Something something "that never happened, that wasn't me, that person never existed..."

hipsterfun · 19/03/2019 11:43

I’m certain Emma identifies as a person with extensive experience in campaigns.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 19/03/2019 11:44

Does Emma also identify as GDPR compliant ?

WeepingWillowWeepingWino · 19/03/2019 11:55

if you google Emma Healey Mumsnet the first page is pretty much all threads about the data breach she caused.

hipsterfun · 19/03/2019 11:59

Do you reckon it came up in Emma’s Department of Transport interview, magically turned into a positive?
