The fallout from Anthony's recent initiative to arrange a letter from lots of men scolding women for disobedience. It's come to his attention that Helen Joyce of The Economist is non-compliant. He tweeted her employers about this stubborn refusal to fall into line, and then the next step was to demand a debate with her.

Said debate has now actually apparently been agreed to and arranged, but not before a series of tweets from him demanding that she sort complimentary tickets and perform admin tasks.

It's well worth a read, all screenshotted here for those who are blocked. He's also found time to demand a debate with Graham Linehan, with whom he's very upset because Graham has told gays what to do despite not being one himself. The irony was just too much there.

Have to say my recent dialogues with gay men on the subject of trans activism and trans gender'ism have been very sobering. I used to think, and expect, gay men to be the friends of women; but many are most definitely not. So little real understanding and respect for women and their issues.

So just to clarify, the things that Anthony Watson doesn't understand:

1. That staff journalists have absolutely nothing to do with events organised by their publication.

1. That treating the finance editor of the Economist as your personal secretary is not a good look, especially if you are advising a major political party on equality.

1. The concept of "setting a date".

In the interests of fairness, at one point it reads to me like Helen does ask Anthony to DM her. However, given the tone the debate then takes, I totally understand why she'd then want to keep it public. He's absolutely awful; such a rude man.

And the fact that guy searched decades of glinner tweets! That's so tragic. Oh we don't love you now Glinner, you might have risked your entire career for us, but once you said "tits"

I'm confused at Dawn Bulters tweet about a timeline full of hate. Is she talking about the responses to Anthony's letter she retweeted? I forget everyone who disagrees is that is a Nazi bigot. I've been so long on the left I forget I'm a Nazi.

What's disagreeing with her got to do with her being BAME? I'm sure she does get racist comments but I didn't see anything like that on her timeline, on that day in question? Might have missed it?

I am sick to the back teeth of any criticism or disagreement being described as hate. This is the latest tactic to prevent opposing views being aired.

I too read DB's twitter and could not see a timeline full of hate - there was just plain old difference of opinion, plenty of facts to counter the woolly ideas/feelings rhetoric and pertinent questions surrounding the author of the letter and their generous funding of DB's LA jaunt none of which DB deigned worthy of a response.

I saw a lot of actual hate (people defending the New Zealand attacks).

Rather puts into perspective someone disagreeing with you on Twitter. Sorry women are so uppity Dawn.

Dawn Butler...honestly, how did she rise to her position? She's not the sharpest knife in the draw is she? (To be honest, Jeremy's front bench is not very impressive is it?). Saw Dawn Butler speaking in Westminster, when WPUK invited members in to ask questions. She, & Layla Moran - not impressed at all. Neither seemed to have much awareness at all of the wider and deeper implications of Self ID.

It's a good tactic if somebody is bringing attention to a politician having an all expenses paid jolly by an individual they are now endorsing, to try to shut them up with accusations of hate. Only problem for Dawn is that a) people can read what responses she has had and b) that manipulative silencing tactic has been so overused that nobody is buying it anymore.

Dawn should know better. I am sure she is on the end of some nasty stuff but a person using terms like hate to describe legitimate criticism does have a nasrty Orwelian ring to it.
