Apparently a woman spent 8 hours in a cell/being interviewed by the police for a "transphobic" Tweet along the lines of TWAW. Can't bring myself to buy the Mail tomorrow to check the details, but it may be taken up by other papers.

And the last thing Hayden is coming across is hurt. Hayden is coming across as absolutely delighted. Gleeful.

Albeit until their name is on the front page of the newspaper and the reporter has the temerity to actually write down what has happened. I note that Hayden isn't saying it's libellous or slanderous, or indeed wrong.

Iused2BanOptimist · 10/02/2019 11:07

So the lawyer advises Twitter that harassment is a crime. And yet the police aren't interested in the harassment that Caro and her family are subjected too, which puts her children at risk. Interesting.

Datun · 10/02/2019 11:09

It's also interesting that Hayden is implying that other papers had the story, but couldn't print it because of restrictions.

I don't think it's the smartest idea to take on the county's press, over the issue of free speech because you're determined to not let women misgender you.

Oxytocindeficient · 10/02/2019 11:12

The ‘allegations’ are not serious. I’ve been called all sorts online, including Nazi. So? That’s not a police matter.

GerryblewuptheER · 10/02/2019 11:15

Most of us have racked up worse in primary school haven't we?

Secondary school well, all sorts then. In fact it's amazing how we can be frigid and a slag and gay all at the same time..

I've been called racist for id'ing people.

Hell I've been told to die in a fire too.

Did I call the police? Did I fuck.

FlyingOink · 10/02/2019 13:13

Stop press! I've just been called a chap by a disabled man and his carer in the queue at Sainsbury's.
I'm getting on to the police right now!

Iused2BanOptimist · 10/02/2019 13:14

The other thread about this is being pulled.

HawayMan · 10/02/2019 13:14

This needs to go onto the main boards. Every mother needs to know about this.

HawayMan · 10/02/2019 13:17

I've just been on Twitter, and Stephanie is getting a really hard time today. I know that they aren't a nice person, but we shouldn't be supporting or laughing at this. A lot of the comments they're getting (albeit not from any GC feminists) are transphobic. We need to condemn them because we need to be better than Stephanie is.

hackmum · 10/02/2019 13:30

Well, HawayMan, I haven't attacked anyone with a golf club, so I'm already doing better than Stephanie on the basic morality front.

I notice this now tops Mail Online's list of most-shared stories. It's been shared 45,000 times. People are waking up.

Iused2BanOptimist · 10/02/2019 13:33

A few little sayings spring to mind:

Live by the sword, die by the sword.

As ye sow, so shall ye reap.

Do I care? Smile

Datun · 10/02/2019 13:34

Hayden can try and silence people as much as they like. It's just more of the same.

It's astonishing to me how anyone can think that silencing people over stories about silencing people is smart!

Especially when you've already ruffled the feathers of mainstream media. Particularly the Daily Mail.

Beerincomechampagnetastes · 10/02/2019 13:37

I have zero sympathy for Hayden. She’d ground my face into the mud if given the opportunity.
I will not make nice. I already have the moral high ground, Hayden can’t touch me there.

Beerincomechampagnetastes · 10/02/2019 13:37

*grind

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 10/02/2019 13:39

Stephanie is getting a really hard time today

And I'm sure to woman who was detained by police had a holiday.

GCAcademic · 10/02/2019 13:40

I've just been on Twitter, and Stephanie is getting a really hard time today

As ye sow, so shall ye reap. Hayden put this whole train in motion, confident that Hayden had a private police force at Hayden’s disposal to silence heretical women. Turns out people don’t like abuse of power. And that newspapers will periodically break injunctions if they think freedom of speech is at stake.

ToeToToe · 10/02/2019 13:41

Well it's still on the Daily Mail site, and has been shared 47,000 times.

The Streisand effect indeed.

Injunctions don't work once the story is "out there" - as Ryan Giggs found out.

nevernotstruggling · 10/02/2019 13:47

Just joining to show suppprt to kS

FlyingOink · 10/02/2019 13:49

A lot of the comments they're getting (albeit not from any GC feminists) are transphobic. We need to condemn them because we need to be better than Stephanie is.
Yeah I get that. But as I am not a representative of anything other than my own opinion, and these boards are made up of women who all have different views, it's not like we can release a FWR statement to condemn nasty transphobic comments online.
Especially ones directed at someone who wouldn't piss on me if I was on fire, and who is rather robust in their dealings with others.
I don't like bullying but being hoisted by one's own petard after getting a woman locked up for hours and bragging about it isn't really bullying in my eyes.

Bubblegum849 · 10/02/2019 13:49

No, they’re not. I’m a police officer and I’ve done countless shifts in Custody and when a female prisoner is booked in they are ALL read their rights and entitlements and one of those is the right to sanitary products. They are also asked if they would like to speak to a female officer/member of staff in private.

I don’t believe she was denied sanitary products.

I also don’t believe she was arrested “for misgendering” someone once. There are no grounds for arrest and detention there. She might be invited in for a voluntary interview, though.

But the fact a civil injunction had been granted preventing her from contacting Hayden due to “harassment” would lead me to believe there has been a course of conduct against Hayden, or else a judge wouldn’t have issued the order.

Datun · 10/02/2019 13:49

Well it's still on the Daily Mail site, and has been shared 47,000 times.

Bloody hell. That's not normal is it?

People are very, very angry.

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 10/02/2019 13:53

I don’t believe she was denied sanitary products. I also don’t believe she was arrested “for misgendering” someone once.

I wouldn't have believed the police would caution someone of liking a twitter post, of visit a person for describing skeletons, but here we are.

Datun · 10/02/2019 13:55

51k now. Good Lord.

Ineedacupofteadesperately · 10/02/2019 13:56

Is there any way she could sue the police? Any lawyers? Being left without sanpro when needed for so long and also the impact on her children are both things that are frankly about 1000x worse than calling an XY human a man, surely, whatever their belief? Wtaf is this country coming to?
