I should be ignoring this, and making the tea..... Liz is a TRA and her twitter storytime is as follows: yesterday, she says she infiltrated Posie's session, and gives a twitter read-out - an account which contains absolutely no substantive information at all. There follows innumerable comments, presumably from her woke following, asking "y' alright hun?" and telling her how stunning and brave she was to avoid capture in the lion's den of horrible transphobic bigots.

They seem to have overlooked the fact that the whole thing was broadcast live on Facebook, and therefore she could have listened to it from the comfort of her sofa and avoided what her followers tell her could have been "confrontational". By all accounts she sat there saying nothing - except to thank Venice Allan for handing over some stickers, which is what you do when you're "under cover" I guess? We know she did this, because she helpfully provides a photo of the stickers - sort of trophy stickers, I presume.

Then back in the safety of her own twitter feed, she dramatically declares "I am safe" - almost as if to imply she only managed to escape catastrophic injury by the skin of her teeth. Then, obviously traumatised by her day with the Haters, she posts a picture of herself holding a bat. The sort TRAs encase in barbed wire Confused

The most worrying thing about it all for me that is, is she looks kind of normal.. like the sort of person I might hire as a babysitter. I will never go out again. Right... I must peel some spuds....

Laughing at this post on LIz's timeline:

Not quite: yes it was well-attended, and some different views were shared. The language was hateful, y'all should not be given public platforms to spread this bile, and gender criticals should be engaged with individually in person to bring them back from the edge of bigotry.

Waiting for a dimwit to pop round to "bring me back from the edge". This could take a while....

littlbrowndog · 28/01/2019 18:04

Omg that person does have a pic of themselves with a baseball bat ffs
But she was very very very brave sitting in a meeting with women
Very very brave

I'm going low again, but I really don't know which is more disturbing, the bat or the crop top.

But well done you brave and stunning poppet, you bravely went to an open meeting. A meeting that had a live feed.
You took loads of photos to analyse later (presumably in the basement of your mum's house), so you could dox women.

How brave
How stunning
How creepy

Why are they posing in their pants like that?? What the hell is that about? Why do they even have a weird baseball bat?

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 28/01/2019 18:43

That photo 😆 - looks like she is about to use it as an, erm, enema. What an attention-seeking pilchard!

Oswin · 28/01/2019 18:44

Oh god I am howling at that thread. Fucks sake they are talking like she's just escaped being undercover in the kkk.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 28/01/2019 18:45

Oh I looked again (my eyes). Who poses in their knickers like that? In public? I bet her mam and dad are really proud of them.

nauticant · 28/01/2019 18:45

That picture deserves a link to the actual tweet to put it into its proper disturbing context:

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 28/01/2019 18:45

Oh, like Black Klansman? I can’t think of a suitably amusing title atm...

littlbrowndog · 28/01/2019 18:46

You can buy the bat from degegenderrates site
As to why the person is in their pants 🙍‍♀️

nauticant · 28/01/2019 18:47

Bah, I meant this better link:

littlbrowndog · 28/01/2019 18:51

The pants though hahaha omg

Qcng · 28/01/2019 18:52

holding a bat
Lol if it weren't for follow up comments I totally thought you meant the winged-mousey sort and was veh confused!

GrinitchSpinach · 28/01/2019 18:53

The Degenderettes are the group that goes around threatening women, mostly lesbians, with violence. San Francisco public library displayed their "art" included barbed-wire covered bats and blood-stained "I punch TERFs" t-shirts.

Bunch of lovely, civil, definitely female people exhibiting no male patterns of violence there!

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 28/01/2019 18:55

Sad lonely women who ‘wanna be’ well ‘ard but in reality would would cack their big blue pants in an actual physical/verbal confrontation. BOO!

SandyDrawsBadly · 28/01/2019 19:00

It’s funny and scary at the same time.
Funny, just because it’s fake jeopardy. Scary because baseball bad, I mean WTF.

whatsthecomingoverthehill · 28/01/2019 19:07

And the hamster is over it like a rash, using the number of people there as some sort of proof that hardly anyone is GC. It's quite scary that a doctor comes out with the sort of logic he does.

Dragon3 · 28/01/2019 19:09

Liz is a transwoman, did I get that right?

Is a Glitch a female Grinch or something?

WombOfOnesOwn · 28/01/2019 19:13

This is where pronoun policies on Mumsnet seem unbearable.

Ten years ago, out of context, "she went to a women's meeting where they spoke about issues she disagreed with, so she went home and took pictures of herself in a crop top and pants holding a baseball bat and talked about how terrifying the ordeal was" would have gotten a reaction of concern for the poor woman's mental health and worry about what might be going on in her life to make her act so appallingly aggressively about a different opinion.

Today, when we see that, even through all the "she," we know exactly what a story like that is before we even dig further. But even when the story itself gives us all the clues we need about the sex of the person it's about, we must all pretend to be good girls who don't see the elephant in the room (or the trousers, as it were).

SkoopskiPotatoes · 28/01/2019 19:15

What does trans-colored mean? Confused All I can see is a blue, pink and cream striped bat.
