This whole hate speech/incident law is completely out of control. This is sinister.

SPRINGTIME for gender identity

Winter for women and girls

Oxytocindeficient · 24/01/2019 20:45

Did anyone read the responses to their tweet? Neither the complainant or the wrong-thinker were even in their area. What the hell were they doing responding to this? This is all next level bizarre

woollysocksforwinter · 24/01/2019 20:51

I haven't had time to read the whole thread, so I expect it's already been said, but oh what delicious karma.

Harry the Owl is not only an all round good egg by all accounts (runs a business supports people in very poor areas of Nepal) but is also an ex police officer.

His complaint about Humberside Police is going to be spot on, isn't it.

woollysocksforwinter · 24/01/2019 20:53

The police (as far as we know) had NO IDEA he was an ex police officer when they spoke to him.

Sexnotgender · 24/01/2019 21:12

Ooh, I had no idea he was an ex policeman! That’s fantastic... idiots. Hope he tears them a new one.

WokeNotBloke · 24/01/2019 21:17

What happens if GC feminists report TRA incidents?
Whole thing is absurd.

OlennasWimple · 24/01/2019 21:19

What happens if GC feminists report TRA incidents?

I imagine something similar to those poor women who report being raped in places like Saudi Arabia or India, and end up being charged with adultery

"Oh, you don't think that a woman's brain sometimes grows a man's body, do you? Wrongthink! Burn the witch!"

WokeNotBloke · 24/01/2019 21:23

My guess is that Harry is probably less intimidated than your avg Joe. He goes to have to worry about losing his job. He’s ex police. So my guess there are quite a few people out there who’ve had similar chats, who have been frightened into shutting up ☹️

It identifies as a limerick.

Sometimes a limerick grows a nine lined freeform poem in the womb

FlawedAmazon · 24/01/2019 21:38

The poem i wrote in response was identifying as Haiku

Poetry power?

Harry the owl visited by police
lydiamajora · 24/01/2019 22:34

The original "poem" is awful; I can't for the life of me find the meter and it is definitely not a limerick. The response limericks on Twitter and this board are vastly superior.

Ereshkigal · 24/01/2019 22:37

It's part of a song, lydia, rather than a poem.

FlawedAmazon · 24/01/2019 23:14

Here you go. The Telegraph article...

www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2019/01/24/man-investigated-police-retweeting-transgender-limerick/

Melroses · 24/01/2019 23:18

Just read that. It ends with:

"A popular transsexual blogger who believes men can’t become women is due to appear in court in March following allegations over a conversation on Twitter made by another Mermaids campaigner."

Ah, that makes more sense - which song?

Still confused as to why Harry is referring to himself as Limerick Criminal on Twitter...

Popchyk · 24/01/2019 23:19

Oooh.

Named the officer involved. No reason why not of course.

And the dimwit chose to explain himself to the national media:

"Confirming that he had spoken to Mr Miller for 20 minutes, PC Gul told the Telegraph he made the remark about the foetus because he had “learned it on a training course ran by a transgender person last summer”.

He added: “Although none of the tweets were criminal, I said to Mr Miller that the limerick is the kind of thing that upsets the transgender community. I warned him that if it escalates we will have to take further action. If someone comes forward and says: ‘I’m the victim of a hate incident and it’s really upsetting me’, then we have to investigate”.

lydiamajora · 24/01/2019 23:23

I'm surprised the officer didn’t roll out the jelly baby theory during the call Hmm

FlawedAmazon · 24/01/2019 23:24

I was wondering about that bit too Melroses

OlennasWimple · 24/01/2019 23:25

PC Gul needs to go on a media training course - sounds rather like he has spoken to the press without a press officer present

Melroses · 24/01/2019 23:26

He does seem rather keen to talk to people, doesn't he.
