Sally Hines is writing female out of feminism- I'm terrified

I've just seen this on twitter. 'Female' is only something anti trans people say and is not relevant to feminism. What if feminism becomes undermined too? Are they trying to take our only weapon and safe place? Why try to take away the biological needs of women rather than add those of trans women? How can this person think they are qualified and justified in re-defining feminism to exclude something fundamental to the majority of women?

My blood ran cold when I saw it because Sally Hines is an academic receiving a lot of funding to do this research.

Sally's tone is disgusting. She makes me so angry. I wonder what she's like in person.

A lesbian who has sex with a transwoman either isn't a lesbian (same-sex attracted) or is hating every minute of it.

The only good thing about Sally Hines is that she is so thick and her arguments are so poor that anyone with half a wit looks intelligent beside her.

Yep. I just clicked a few links and read some of 'her' stuff - is she really employed by universities?

Her pronouncements are usually so garbled and such nonsense I thought it was a joke account at first.

I believe that Sally's dad was quite famous... nepotism at its worse obviously.

If only we could manage to avoid Sally's Queer Theory nonsense.

I think A Kestrel for a Knave deserves its place as a modern classic and I don’t think that Barry Hines is exactly famous.

However, using Queer Theory - everyone is a victim of the patriarchy, oppression is subjective, language doesn’t mean anything - the characters in the novel are just as stuffed as women.

After all isn’t William Rees Mogg just as much a victim of the patriarchy in
his own way as Billy? Isn’t it financial determinism to say that Billy’s lack of money might impact on his ability to participate equally in society? How dare anyone suggest he might need specific resources or that the impact of poverty should be studied.
