Absolute piffle.

theOtherPamAyres · 05/11/2018 22:37

Alice says: "So, I've been a part of trans-inclusive feminist spaces for nine years now. I have never experienced misogyny from trans people fighting for their rights. I have, however, seen a TON of misogyny from "radical" "womyn-centric" "feminism" who want to police what spaces people have access to based on perceived "masculine traits".

Wrong, Alice. I think you may be confused. Why don't you start with the "Break it Down for Me" topic?

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 05/11/2018 22:41

Its not a clicky link

Thats a shame as im too lazy to search it myself Sad

Plus prawn said its piffle...soooooooo

Poppyred85 · 05/11/2018 22:42

Spam.
I know I should think of the lurkers but I really CBA with the goadiness tonight.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 05/11/2018 22:42

Though i admire the perseverance spanna

Waterparc · 05/11/2018 22:42

I think it’s fine, I just disagree with it.
I like reading opposing viewpoints

MIdgebabe · 05/11/2018 22:43

Does it belong in the things that make you laugh thread?

ElfID · 05/11/2018 22:44

It's like when the teachers talk in Charlie Brown.

NotMeOhNo · 05/11/2018 22:45

Perceived masculine traits, like being male?
Oh those skewed perceptions that women have!

AssassinatedBeauty · 05/11/2018 22:47

What did you "enjoy!" about it, @spannablue ?

LangCleg · 05/11/2018 22:47

I only read when OPs can be arsed to correct the non-clicky in an OP with a reply. Soz not soz.

merrymouse · 05/11/2018 22:48

She sounds confused. Given that she doesn’t feel able to explain what a woman is, it’s not at all clear why she is excluding men from being women too.

She seems to be a randomly exclusive feminist.

CottonTailRabbit · 05/11/2018 22:48

I stopped reading at

Moving on to biology. There is no biological definition of woman that includes all cis women but excludes all trans women, and no biological definition of man that includes all cis men but excludes all trans men.

What?

Stupid stupid woman reinforcing the stereotype that women can't think logically and their silly pink brains are too full of kittens and menu planning to do science. FFS.

OldCrone · 05/11/2018 22:49

I find the argument that my womanhood is based on my biological function to be alarmingly regressive and anti-feminist.

So what is it based on then? Girly feelz?

What is a woman, Alice? You can answer for her if you want, spanna.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 05/11/2018 22:49

I like reading opposing viewpoints

So do i, it's usually quite interesting

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 05/11/2018 22:49

And revealing sometimes...which is interesting

littlbrowndog · 05/11/2018 22:50

👀 spanna
Haha shame for you spanna
Oh well maybe tomorrow maybe a better day for you spanna

littlbrowndog · 05/11/2018 22:51

Womanhood.

Hahaha what the feck is that
😂😂☹️

OrchidInTheSun · 05/11/2018 22:56

Any thinking that prioritises the feelings of people with penises over those of the people with vaginas isn't feminism. Call it something else.

merrymouse · 05/11/2018 22:56

There is no biological definition of woman that includes all cis women but excludes all trans women, and no biological definition of man that includes all cis men but excludes all trans men.

Is this the way the human race dies out? No more mating because human’s lose the ability to recognise sex? Or is it a last ditch evolutionary mutation - we become too stupid to understand how contraception works?

AssassinatedBeauty · 05/11/2018 22:59

"There is no biological definition of woman that includes all cis women but excludes all trans women, and no biological definition of man that includes all cis men but excludes all trans men."

I despair of our science education in this country. It is astonishing that someone could write that without pausing for some critical reflection.

thatwouldbeanecumenicalmatter · 05/11/2018 23:26

Any thinking that prioritises the feelings of people with penises over those of the people with vaginas isn't feminism. Call it something else.

I think we all know what that’s called.

Ereshkigal · 05/11/2018 23:27

Is it as terribly clever and feminist as the previous ploppy link spanna treated us to?

Ereshkigal · 05/11/2018 23:30

The Guardian US had to put out a statementt^condemning The Guardian UK’s decision to make its editorial stance firmly trans-exclusive.

My bold. Is this woman on glue?

Badstyley · 05/11/2018 23:34

Oh dear, she sounds a bit confused, and a bit thick. CBA to read that shite.
