In Manchester we voted against having an elected mayor.
We also voted against having a congestion charge.
We now have Andy Burnham.
Can you guess what he wants to introduce ?

I have had a holding reply to my email to Baroness Hughes, promising a full reply in due course.....

Its amazing just what little power he actually has tbh
As well as being mayor, he is the Police and Crime Commissioner. He has the power to sack the Chief Constables. He has the power to suspend Chief Officers.
He holds the Chief Constable to account for policies, practices, performance and matters that concern the public. He has a duty to continually consult geographic communties and interest groups in Greater Manchester about the policing of the area.
He has a budget to pump money into projects that will reduce crime and disorder (eg domestic violence). He has staff who monitor GMP and any 'tensions' around policing.
He may be a figurehead because he chooses to be one by taking an arms length approach. He could, and should, kick arse where necessary.

I've had a reply from his communication team saying they'll have a good look and get back to me.

I've seen that there are posters in a similar theme on some transport in Scotland. Funded by the government no less.
How many women, children, or ethnic minorities are abused or attached daily? Vs how many transsexuals or transvestites?
